Some of us were wondering whether it would happen since Square was involved. Well now we know. And it's only a matter of time before we get it here, too.

Not sure if I'd actually download it, though. My grandpa owns an actual copy, and what with him living next door, it's not too inconvenient to simply borrow it from him. But if he didn't have it, I'd get it the day it came out.

I don't own the physical copy so this will have to do.

Oh wait, I do have the cartridge, but I lack the console to play it. So I'll get it when it comes here.

As do I, though whenever I play it... I just play the rom.

I agree with his/her statement of FF7 fanfucks becoming XBox graphic whores later down the road, but, downplaying an old title because of the promotion it had?

Seriously?

That game is over 10 years old. Hardly anybody even remembers how hyped the game was, or how many ads there were for this game. People play it because they like it these days, not because Square is shoving it down our throats.

I find it really hilarious that he/she is comparing this title to newer titles and saying how it wasn't good because so many other games were better. For its time, this game was fantastic. Simple, yes, but that fact and the way everything was presented in the game gives this game its own charm that wouldn't be matched for years (See: FF9 - I consider FF9 and SMRPG to be very similar)

His/her argument isn't nearly as well thought out as he/she seems to think it is.

Yeah, I read that. Textbook case of "I've stopped arguing, but I continue to argue because I just gotta have the last word".
