Nintendo's WiiWare has finally launched. Anyone bought anything?

I bought Defend Your Castle. It's only 500 points and a ton of fun. It's 1-4 players, too!

You can expand your castle artillery and all that, plus you can save your progress.

The next game I'll prolly get is Lost Winds, which I hear is one of the best games to come out on Wii in a while. It uses the Wii really well.

What about yall?

I'm still sort of skeptic, but your quick thoughts on those games might persuade me to buy em.

I haven't used any Wii points on anything yet, since I've been using most of my Wii time playing Brawl, but I plan on getting some of them eventually

I found that I had 500 points on my Wii Shop channel still, and decided to spend it on Defend Your Castle. Definately a game meant for short bursts. But definately a blast, and so funny at first. I'm already at level 32, though, and by this point I've come across all bought upgrades and enemies. It's just a matter of destroying/converting forces and increasing the stats of my towers. Plenty frantic, though. My thumb and wrist were getting tired from all the flicking enemies around.

I'm interested in Defend your castle (since I have 500 Wii points to spend) but I need to buy some good batteries for the sensor bar. The rechargeable ones I'm using sucks and last only a few hours. :\
But I'm curious about the FFCC one. Has anyone gotten that one yet?

I'll wait for a good 2D shooter to be released.

Any of you know if there's a limit to how many guys you can put in a tower in Defend Your Castle? I've got over 1000 of them in the magic tower, and am wondering if I should continue aiming to "max" it (if that's possible) or to just stop wasting time and stock other towers.

So I ended up getting My life as a king.
I got addicted to it.
Sure, you don't get to fight, but I'm really into the whole build your town business.
You start simply with small houses, but as the adventurers you comission (and do all the fighting) clear dungeons, you get different kind of buildings. You receive tithes from each family daily, which you use to issue behests, fund researches (You need to do it to improve the items and skills available for sale for your adventurers) raise your adventurers cap and pay (It's important to keep their morale high.
Also, time runs on real time, so you need to do a bit of planning. If you put the shops on different corners of the town, your adventurers will spend most of the day running back and forth to prepare, leaving them very little time to go out and explore.
And while the adventurers are out, you can speak to the rest of the citizens to raise their morale. Happy families equals more tithe and more medals to award your adventurers. Too bad the NPCs usually babble the same thing over and over.
And you don't really need to buy the downoadable content to enjoy the game (but it does add more buildings to choose from)
I guess it's a love it or hate it title.

Did I just wrote a review? :o
