My XBOX 360 says that the drive has 13.9GB available (maximum) for use if I free it of whatever applications are presently stored on it and that the system reserves the rest for use. The HDD is advertised as 20GB.

If you can play the XBOX 360 without using a HDD (and the memory cards surely don't hold 6.1GB), does that mean that it requires 6.1 GB just to use the hard drive?

Wow, I never even noticed, but now that you mention it.... I wonder if we were cheated out of some memory?

6.1 GB? Thats a lot of memory that we don't get to use.
