Two days ago, Warhawk went out for sell in the PS store. Basically, it's Halo meets Star Fox 64. Though that sounds like a really bad mash, for the few hours I played, it's actually really fun. There is one down side. There is no single player ANYTHING. There aren't even bots to shoot... the only time you can play anyone is when there's another person online (or at your house, sharing split screen... though you can lan up).

The controls are quite interesting. You can set the motion sensor to control every direction your plan goes. Feels very natural... though for some reason I fly better putting it on a analog stick.

Anyway I believe I'll be having lots of fun with this game. I just found out they have CTF. I use to be a HUGE CTF fan back the day with Unreal Tournament mods with plans. Though, no one here has a PS3 but me, so now I'm kind of wondering why I'm even bothering... ;_;

C'est la vie.

I played it up yesterday. Found the CTF servers... I had alot of fun with it too. Warhawk has an on board VOIP program which I like. I don't have a headset, but I'll be looking into it.

A few things about CTF: The maps are huge. Running on foot is pretty much just a waste of time. Tanks are good what with the ability to fire and all, but slower than updates to vgcats. The jeeps are quite a deal faster, but you have no means of fending off anyone. The reason I speak of land transportation is because you can't fly a Warhawk with the freaking flag... which is retarded. At first that was a major turn off because that would kill the whole aspect of deparate air fights trying to get your flag back. But come to find out, the warhawks have passenger seats. So if you can ever talk someone into waiting for you they can carry you back. This makes the air fights for flags possible... but not frequent.

I'm starting to get use to the weapons. There's a great assortment. When you have your missiles, you can lock on to your target... the longer you lock on the more missiles will B-line for them. Heh, it feels good to launch a good 6 missiles at a guy. ^_^

You'd think that flight would always be the better means of transportation... but there are enough ground torrent which don't help when you already have a few enemies in the air (those torrents are a wee bit too accurate).

But anyway, alot of detail went into the game... alot. If you fly to high in the air, you get a stall warning... you keep on going and your engines stall and you plummet back to the ground. Though they kick back in before you are in any danger of crashing. Beatutiful graphics... the water looks remarkably nice. Also, explosions are really nice. Nothings better than seeing a plane explode and see burning shrapnel falling to the ground.

Anyway, I've talked a good friend of mine into getting it so I'm going to host a game or two and see how it goes... ^_^

Sounds amazing. I guess I'll try to buy it, for the sake of multiplayer

I saw an advetisement for it in EGM. I'll be happy if it is successful, but I'm skeptical.

Successful? Well, I had trouble getting onto a server to play this weekend because they were all freaking full if that says anything... ¬_¬

Yeah, by successful, I meant that everything flowed fun without lag and cheating, and that the game didn't get old quick.

Obviously you need to be able to get into a game first.

Hopefully it will all run smoothly after a few growing pains.

The only problem I have is programed in there the way that wanted. Whenever someone gets your flag in CTF and you kill them, you can't just run over and re-capture your flag to send it back to your base. Instead, there's a pre-set time (that can be set from 0-30 seconds) that makes your flag go back by after the time expired.

Another issue I have is that you can't fly a warhawk while you have the flag... but that can be set diffrently by the person who hosts the game. They just never use it.

Oh, here's on real problem I have... ground mounted anti-aircraft weapons. They are broken. You get killed WAY to easy by those things. But outside of that, everything seems to work great.

Don't go online. Set up a local game and get use to everything.

If you want, you can do what me and OW did and set up a private game online and get use to dog fights and such.

Also, if you thing THAT'S hard... go into your controlls, flight control, and turn on Pro Flight...

Thanks, I've gotten used to it a little. I haven't mastered Air combat so I usually fight on the ground.

I spend alot of time on the ground too. I use the stupid little jeep more than I do anything else. You can't lock on to it with anything...

Oh, and I finally found out why my headset wouldn't work. You have to hold L3 to talk... you'd think they'd mention that somewhere. >_>

Hmm, how can I play on a ranked server? My stats don't seem to change after playing a match.

On the server list, look to the left of the server name. There's a little trophy. If it has a red X through it, than it's just some guy hosting a game.

The ranked servers don't have the X through the trophy, and sometimes (I haven't quite figured out why yet) the sever text is in blue).

But for some reason, even now, I log in and it doesn't load up my stats... I've ranked up about 3 times.

I played my first CTF game on WarHawk.

Wow...just..wow. CTF in WarHawk may be the most intense game mode that I've played.
