Well I have to admit, I've never been much of a classic DnD, Ultima, etc. RPGer, I'm normally more into modern RPGs such as the tales series, FF, etc., but I stumbled across this small little developer that pumps out these little gems.

The developer is Spiderweb Software. It's a small little business of only 3 people (only 1 who actually makes the games), but I tried out one of their demos, and boy, I was hooked. Considering I don't have much experience with these types of RPG's I might be a bit off, but I think these are pretty darn good. Tons of content, tons of quests, tons of places to explore, tons of everything.

Every one of their games has a demo, and the demos are quite large in their own right. If you like these sorts of games, you owe yourself to try it out. I'd recomend Avernum first, and Geneforge a close second. I haven't tried the older ones cause they aren't compatible with my newer computer, but the new ones are pretty good.
