I've recently ran into a pretty nice side scrolling shooter called Gunbound.

Now you do.

You basically take turns shooting at eachother. Your shots depend on your pitch, power, and wind speed/direction. You also get what they call an avitar. It's your character. To change him/her though, you have to spend money you win in the game for good shots and/or winning matches. I think ppl here could get into it.

It's not the best game ever... by any stretch of the imagination. But it fun to play with every now and then.

The only thing I hate about the game is that you have to run it from IE... using Opera or Firefox results in a message saying that the browser isn't supported.

But when I do, I usually mute GB's music and set a playlist in winamp... you guys should try that sometimes.

Though it is hard balancing Gunbounds SFX to winamp sometimes.

i remember when yyy did the first real "botting" on gunbound, got himself to rank 1 in about 8 hours
it was hilarious

I always used to just make everyone spawn at the same spot on that one map.. uhh.. metropolis? then have my cakebot able to blow up the entire map in one shot, making for two DKs at once every round. it took about 15 seconds a game. XD

and making 20k gold a game! That was great.

And and and.. buying Golden Helmets for 5k gold and selling them back to the shop for big profit..

Dude, the Avvy system bring a deeper aspect to the game. It's about stratagey. Working on specific stats and whatnot.
