I think it was after seeing some of the new pokemon for the new game.
So my options are:

-Wait for the Blue Rescue thingy game: But I'm trting to save money, so I'll have to see if I have some games that I'm willing to trade in.

-Train some Pokes at my ruby game: But it's been a loooong time since I played it, after I beat it. And I don't want to restart the game

-Get Fire Red or Leaf Green: Can start from beggining. Hopefully able to find it used.

-Forget about Pokemon! Pokemon is 4 kidz j00 geek!: But I don't wanna!

So, any recomendations?

What about option E? Buying an older gameboy game? The old ones kick shiz.

And I believe you can still find pokemon firered/leafgreen for new at 20 bucks.

I'd recommend finding Pokemon Crystal for the GBC if you don't mind having the inability to trade with the newer generations. It's the best so far, and also the largest with TWO regions in it instead of the usual one (the then-new Johto region and the original game's Kanto region). How they managed to fit it all on a 32Mb cartridge, I'll never know.

Oh, but I think I have Crystal somewhere, and I think I'll just restart and play that. I just checked the nearest Gamestop (10 minutes from home) and Leaf Green is 29.99 USED and I refuse to pay that. (And my budget won't allow it for a while)
It's funny how I have a GBA game and never had the GBA itself. Thank goodness for the DS.
Oh wait... I can't play GBC games on the DS can I? Argh! What a cruel fate!

Yeah, sucky. I've gotten too used to the DS's bright screen, it was odd going back to the GBC. Luckily, I own a Game Boy Player.

Wait for Diamond and Pearl. It's the best-looking Pokemon in a long time.

Yeah, I'll definitely get one of those (My bro will surely get the other one)
But I want to play a Pokemon game while I wait for them.
I noticed I haven't caught any of the legendary pokes in Ruby. I might try and catch them.
