I would consider my jewel to be:

Earthbound Complete. I have the game, strategy guide/instruction booklet, and box.

The rarest game I USED to own (before it got stolen) was the original Ogre Battle on the SNES...only 20,000 made in the U.S.

I LOST ALL THE STUFF.

I have Earthbound still!

My rarest are my SNES games, and my partially scratched Tales of Destiny.
SNES: Harvest Moon(the original), Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals, and Earthbound.

I have the original Xenogears case minus the disks(they're lost), and I have Lunar 2's box set sans disks 2 and 3(i have no idea where they went). I also have Legend of Mana... and I consider Disgaea hard to find.:p

Persona 2 and Xenogears are probably my most rare games. I love them so damn much... maybe a little too much.

>_>

Xenogears was re-released(but the original is rare, wish I hadn't lost mine).

Persona 2 was also re-released with Rhapsody. I was so peeved when I found this out after buying Rhapsody. It was fishy that there were 2-3 at the store, along with 5-6 copies of Persona 2.o_O

Dragon Warrior IV on the NES.
Panzer Dragoon Orta on Xbox.

I'm not sure just how rare those are (if at all), but they're probably the harder-to-find games in my collection.

There are 20 copies at my game stop. I guess I should buy that when my check gets here.

Yeah, I know. I got them before the re-releases... Would have been much cheaper if I waited a bit for them. Oh well, they are my pride and joy.

I've got an original copy of every zelda, booklets and such as well, and I saw the original offered for somewhere around 150 bucks the other day.
So?

Hmm, I don't know what's rare these days.
I'm too long out of the gaming spotlight, haven't found the heart to care about it in so long.
I just know of what I have that's aged, like lunars in mint condition (even through all the wear, because I'm just that damn good), with the vast majority of the original FFs, and a Vanguard Bandits I've rarely seen anyway, never really seen talked of, but have all the same (great game by the way).

My paperboy is cherished, I can tell you that much, no matter how rare it is or isn't.

I don't really know. In a few days, my rarest game will probably be Graffiti Kingdom, and that really isn't very rare.

Exile, for the Sega Genesis. Shining Force 1 and 2 for the Sega Genesis.

Lufia 1 and 2 for the SNES.

Chrono Trigger for the SNES.

Sailor Moon for the Genesis (Japanese). Believe it.

Lunar 1 and 2 complete box sets with strategy guides (I got the strategy guide to Lunar 1 from a friend).

I'm so jealous, right now. I've tried to get those for the longest time... How are they?

The games are excellent, some of the best I've played. Great characters, witty and intriguing writing, fun gameplay mechanics and so on. I like Lunar 1 better (Silver Star Story Complete). Lunar 2 (Eternal Blue) is really good, but the first game is still my favorite. If you can, try to find it some place. The Box Sets are nice with full color atbooks/manuals and whatnot. Lunar 1 comes with a making of CD as well as a full clothe map. Lunar 2 comes with a map, analogue stick caps featuring the different characters, and Lucia's Medallion she wears (and the ever present Making Of CD). Great stuff.

The strategy guide for Lunar 1 is great. Full color, big pictures, nice templates, backstory, comparisons and contrasts between the original version, boss strategies, item locations, full list of all equipment, character bios with great artwork, memory card labels featuring the different characters, and even stickers of the bromides you can collect in the game.

I definitely recommend it. (If you're interested in yet another game as well, the Arc The Lad collection is great [though I don't care for Arc the Lad 3, 1 and 2 more than make up for it]).
