I'm very happy. That game just stomped my ass up and down.

Death is an asshole.
And Dracula was until I learned his pattern.

Good experience.

Congratulations!!
That took me forever to beat too. My best friend and I would take turns playing and playing and playing. My Nintendo had some problems, and we would have to put an AA battery on the game cartridge inside the console to get it to play right. Had I spent time cleaning my Nintendo, that would probably have helped. :)
Anyway, yeah, Castlevania is a classic!

Thanks for the props.

Before, I never really wanted to play Castlevanias, but after reading the history of the games, I'm really interested.

I mean, with Death, there's no pattern you can use to beat him. It's generally random.

But with Dracula, I stayed away from him until he fired the fireballs, where I jumped over them and whipped him in the face.

Then, for his last form, I just used Holy Water and stopped him in the tracks.

Now that I beat this, I would like the beat Mike Tyson's Punch-Out once, but Tyson is a super bastard. OHKO punches. :(
