The PS3 seems like an awesome machine.Especially for rmpg maker 3.

I will definately buy this but I hear that you probably won't be able to buy used games or rent games either. Also its not region encoded like the psp so I can play even imports without a modchip.

I don't know enough details about the system yet, and Sony boasting about FPS that barely creates a noticeable difference to the human eye seems moronic.

I want a game console to play games. If I want to listen to music, I'd use an MP3 player, if I want to surf the net I use my laptop.

So I'll most likely be behind the Revo/DS combination the most. 8)

Well, if RPG Maker 4 comes out for it, I'll definitely have a PS3. But not if it costs $500+.

I once said something similar. But then I got my first DVD player: my PS2. Besides, the PlayStations have been multimedia devices since the PS1; that played music CDs. It wasn't until PS2 that the multimedia thing became a big deal.

Anyway, I don't plan on getting a PS3 until something truly worthwhile comes out on it, like the next Final Fantasy or RPG Maker.

I will wait for the price to go down like many other people.

I will eventually get it, but I'm alway as poor as a summer rain so who knows.

I seriously doubt the PS3 is gonna be 300 bucks, it has 2 graphics cards in the system that are more expensive than 2 top of line graphics cards that are availible for purchase, and that cell processing unit. I wouldnt be surprised if they could sell it for less than 600 bucks. Even if they sold it at that price they would be losing 200$ a console sold at least. I really do hope RPGM4 is going to be for 360, with a system like that, it is perfect for RPGM.

The point is that they are taking the loss for the greater gain, this is a line that they themselves used to describe it. It would be blatant idiocy to release anything of this nature for $600. They are going to open it at $300-350. Thats my knowledge on the subject. And no they aren't losing that much, not by a long shot-I read the bottom of your post and barf.
