I have a character that's been sitting idle for the past few months. The XP bonus is going to be through the roof when I get back to it!

I'm on Doomhammer, a L4(?) Night Elf Druid.

I watched the annoying "self-proclaimed ultimate gamer-girl" play it at anime club once, you know, since she couldn't go 3 hours without playing. Looked boring to me, but I but the economy isn't as broken as FFXI's.

I already plunked down $30 for FFXI, so no, never got to play WoW personally.:p

I can't wait to play on an official server of WoW it would be better than using private servers. Some people can't go without playing games, Well I play video games every day but thats a different story. WoW is popular because it never ends so thats why many people like it.

I wonder who plays this game everyday for 17 hours and sleep& eat for the rest of the hours.

Let us know what you are. Maybe someone here can join up with you.

Fay, I have yet to play that far into WoW to know what it's economy is like, but the game makes much better useage of NPC shop owners. When browsing items, it even compares items in stock to items you're currently wearing.

As for fun, there is the downside of not being able to change classes, or even have a subclass for that matter. Otherwise, combat is pretty similar to FFXI, though with a better layout of commands IMO. Plus, partying is OPTIONAL. Granted, there's a few places where partying would be a good idea, but you don't have to worry about being in a party in order to properly gain XP. The game also tells you the exact levels of monsters, and it's possible to tell which ones are aggressive without accidentally getting close to one.

Anyway, I recently restarted (er, continued) WoW. I finished three quests and gained a level in the process (oh, you get XP for finishing quests, Fay). Unfortunately, I did not have that XP boost, on account that you get that boost when resting or logged out at an inn or a town, and I was just outside a town.

I'll be playing this all day and night today. My name on there is Excellion, currently I'm a level 3 elf. I'll have to find more about what I am but I'm on the boulderfist server.

Nope, I'm on Doomhammer. I don't really like the idea of being attacked and killed by another player while I'm questing in the middle of nowhere.

I played more today. Now, I'm L8. And I'm having fun. GOOOO FUN!

I like that idea of being attacked by another player. Its better so far, the battle system is okay but not perfect. I do wish you could use a controller to play it. I'm L6, I guess I can do some long exploring.

A controller wouldn't work well in this game. You wouldn't be able to click on items/spells and targets quickly enough. Movement doesn't really need to be analog either. And you've got the choice of moving with the regular d-pad, the number pad, or W/A/S/D, with the thumb conveniently over the spacebar (jump) button.

I like the game but I just can't get addicted to it. Its a good time waster game, should be played when bored or when you have nothing to do. If I did get addicted to this game then my homework won't get finished and when that happens I can't move from this basic classes and stuff. Point is that I will eventually become a loser without a life playing WoW everyday for 19 hours straight without a care for time. I can't live like that, it would be to lonely and confusing. Wow is like crack to some people just like ever quest. People use it for their life because of depression, after awhile they become dependent on the game like crack then after something dramatic happens they either end their life or go on a killing spree.

Whoa. Um. You're not supposed to get addicted to it. So don't worry if you're not. It's simply supposed to be a fun time-waster, as you said it was.

Speaking of which, I'm on break from working on my RPGM game, and I'm waiting for the announcement of the RPGM1-class winner at the Pav, so I think I'll go ahead and waste some time on it. Right now.
