The best Kirby games seem to be the ones that don't follow the traditional design model of the pink puff's platforming history. Though he started his life out as a run-and-jump hero, it's when he's thrust into much more atypical situations where he really struts his stuff. Games like Kirby's Dream Course and Kirby's Tilt 'n Tumble are fantastic examples of successful yet unusual design concepts for HAL Laboratory's creature.

Chalk Kirby Canvas Curse as another one of these successful departures from the usual Kirby offerings. It's an outstanding design that captures what the Nintendo DS platform is all about: unique and creative gameplay, and speaks volumes of the potential this system can offer gamers down the line.

This game is currently on my must-buy list. :D

You'll be able to.:)

Maybe it's high time I got a new DS game. All I have so far are a couple of launch titles.

So, isn't Kirby's Dream Course a golf game? I saw it before, but didn't expect it to be that great, so I passed it up. So far Adventure and Super Star are my favorites.

I was expecting this to be either a cakewalk or really short. Thankfully it was neither! It's challenging, and not in an unfair way. And this isn't just some gimmick that you'll play for a day and be done with (unless you play it for 24 hours straight), it's a full-fledge Nintendo game. It is short for a game in general, but most 2D sidescrollers are. And yet, there's plenty to do, if you're willing. The medal collection is actually fun somehow.

Canvas Curse is GREAT! I'm on Level 5, and it's so fun! Dray, the medals are probably entertaining because you get to use the stylus to find the answer to the puzzle. :D
