Yup. I've been playing my import copy of KH2, and while I barely understand anything that's going on (I do have a small translation faq and some of whats happening now is logic) I have to say....this is already turning out to be a great game.

OMG Slight Spoilers!



You begin in Twilight Town as Roxas (formerly the "Blonde Haired Kid")
The awakening/dive into the heart scene does not happen until a little ways into the game.

You ARE thrust into battle quite early in the game...and I can say now that it is more difficult than KH1, and has quite a few new battle features--most apparent is the "Reaction Command."

Not really a HUGE leap in graphics, but it is a little better.

US Release is currently set for March, 2006

Haven't been Sora yet. (I am REALLY close, but I don't want to spoil anything for myself too much. )

Reaction command:

Best described as a kind of counter-attack. Say for example...an enemy is about to attack you (or you are charging the enemy), for a split second, a green triangle appears around the enemy. This is your cue to "HIT THE TRIANGLE BUTTON NOW!" Doing such has various effects, such as swinging your character around to the BACK of the enemy and attacking.

Is there a decidedly darker feel about it, as purported in advertisements?

Kingdon Hearts is awesome. I can hardly wait to get KH 2. KH:COM for GBA was my favorite of them.

Check the Famitsu score out for this beast. I believe it was 39/40.

So yeah, I guess it surpised some people that "that disney game" is actually a solid game underneath the candy.XP

I would never import an RPG though, those involve a lot of reading.:X

I am importing the GC Bleach game this Christmas, and eventually Naruto GNT 4... but those are fighters.

Also, in the deep distant future I might import Quendan(rhythm game) and Jump Superstars for the DS.

I haven't been far enough in to tell if their is REALLY a darker feel to it, but from some interesting turns the game has taken already....yes, yes it is.

And by japanese zones, do you mean getting around the region lockout? Yep.

It doesn't matter where you order from, KH2 isn't shipped yet. Not on Amazon, either.

Yeah, unless you can use the import version on your modded ps2. And understand the japanese language very fluently. Mine is paid in full, I can't wait to play either. Its comes out next tuesday on my day off from school.
