A couple of friends and I are looking to do Netplay games for Secret of Mana and Seiken Densetsu 3, but we aren't having much luck using ZSNES directly.

What would be some good programs to help stabilize that?

Mamehub, get it, love it.

It's how Fayorei, Lantis and I managed to play through SD3 together.

It supports pretty much every retro console, including arcade games, up to 2-however many players you want, and has auto syncing, meaning you won't have that issue where people are seeing different sequences of events because of timing issues.

Thanks. I know you guys had mentioned it in a race video at one point but couldn't remember where.

One more question: How well does it work with Japanese ROMS? There's one game I LP'd a couple of years ago that hasn't continued as there was no way to showcase the VS mode with someone.

Uh, I'm not sure. I think it'll just do all roms about as fine as it can. If you can find the rom, it should work.

Doesn't it only allow from a list of games on its own server? Or has that changed?

If it's not on the audited list from mamehub, then it's not available to be played on mamehub.

Now, there's a moderately complicated way to force a game into the list, but it requires an older version of mamehub, and running the exe instead of the bat so it doesn't update, and then you have to edit a certain file with a few lines of code to recognize the rom you want to force.

They have pretty much any game you could think of on there, including JP games.

That being said, they took off Seiken Densetsu 3 for whatever reason. Myoky gave us the game, and made edits to the .xml file, bam it shows up and that's how we finished SD3.

Now if I can get my ports to open successfully it'll all be good.

Doesn't help that I'm connected to a Linksys router that's connected to an XFinity one though.
