Pokemon x Tekken collaboration is a thing.

[/url]It will be released in Japan in Arcades next year. I say, in the next two it will be on Wii U and quite possibly on its way to NA.

I think this is a cool Pokemon side project. Definitely a new way to battle Pokemon. I'd buy it.

I think that maybe it would have been better in the hands of a game developer who made a little bit better fighting games. I mean, I've played many a Tekken, and really can't get into it very much. I think mostly because all the move sets of the characters don't combo with each other very well. It kind of feels like you just kind of trade hits and that's about it. Like, if it were being done by Capcom, Nether Realm, or Arc System, I'd already be throwing money at it.

Capcom would do this: Pokken, Super Pokken, Ultra Pokken, Super Ultra Turbo Pokken, Super Ultra Turbo Ultimate Pokken

Luckily their business practices aren't indicative of how good their game is. Though if they DID end up making a bajillion different versions, Pokemon fans would grab that sh*t up all day ery day.

But here's the thing... there are so many pokemon, it would warrant that many version. And could feature an entirely new roster every single time.

They'd probably have room for 5-6 versions just with the 1st generation pokemon.

Well... that's if the types span past fighting...

They could have 17 games if they just made one per type of Pokemon.

I am having mixed feelings for this. Reminds me of that Cartoon Network Smash Bros type of game. I liked the idea but the videos I saw didn't convince me at all.
This definitely looks and feels better, but I hope the final product has more of a pokemon feel.

(Which is funny since I am excited for Hyrule Warriors and I am very wel aware that it is esencially a LoZ skinned Dynasty Warriors game, and I'm perfectly fine with that.)
