Are you feeling stressed?
You feel like the walls of reality are getting ever tighter around your precious yourself-bubble?
Have you just been dumped and don't want to leave home yet staying home is making you even sadder?
Are you just plain bored?

Well, I have the solution!
Get your Necromancin' on, son!

Step the First
Open that dusty drawer you have back there, grab the Diablo 2 disk, and reinstall it. I know you have that disk, and I know you've uninstalled and reinstalled it a hundred times. We all have.
In the off-chance you don't own D2, you can buy the game + the expansion, as digital downloads, for $20 at the Blizzard web store – it's worth it

Step the Second
Start a new character. Expansion. Pick a Necromancer.

Step the Third
Here is what you will do to your Necromancer: all skeletons, all the time.
Every time you level up, put your skill point into Raise Skeleton.
When that's maxed, put your skill points into Skeleton Mastery.
When that's maxed, put your skill points into Corpse Explosion.
(You'll want one, just one, point in Amplify Damage, it's really useful. Also, before fighting Diablo, you should have 1 point in Clay Golem and 1 in Decrepify)

Step the Fourth
Play through the game. Single-player, of course. Forget about that battle.net stuff. That's full of stressed people, and you don't need that. Relax. Sit down. Let your skeletons do the dirty work. Wear whatever equipment you feel like; I recommend +skills and magic find, but they're not necessary. Your character can go through the game naked.

Step the Fifth
Take the time to meditate. The sound of swords clashing and monster dying, the excitement of when that unique item drops, the going back-and-forth between town and dungeon... it's there so you can meditate. Turn off your brain. Breathe in, breathe out. Your brain is like an engine, when it's off it cools down. Enjoy it. Enjoy the sea of nothingness, swim around in it, and don't forget to recast your skeletons when they're down.

Step the Sixth
Turn the game off, rise from your chair a new man, a new woman. Stretch. Drink a glass of water. You are now renewed and ready for whatever the world throws at you next.

MrSandman and the rest of the crew wish you guys all the best!

Oh man, Diablo 2, and Skelemancers.. This brings back good memories.

Also, the best way to play Diablo 2 Battle.net, is to be in a game of 8 Skelemancers.

It's fun to mix it up every once and a while and do basically the same thing with Druid. Go all ravens and wolves and the plant things. Hell, if you have a buddy it's super fun to go necro and druid and just all minions. :) Good times.

I'm not sure Druid summons work as well as skeletons, to be honest. Though Druid is one of the classes I never got to really try. If I do, I think I'd go Werewolf.

However! guys

look at what my amazon found

guys

i'm really happy

this has never happened

Werewolf is pretty beastmode. I played Druid extensively actually (probably my most played next to necromancer and sorceress). While shapeshifting is really fun to do, it's effectiveness pales in comparison to Summoning and Elemental. Both are extreme forces to be reckoned with. The summoning starts out a little weaker cause the Ravens don't take hits for you, but as soon as you hit 6 and get your wolves and oak sage and start amassing them (and later the direwolves and grizzly) it has every bit as much free hands play as the necromancer.

The fun thing about grouping the two was not just all the summons but the fact that the creepers destroying corpses (and giving back mana/health/doing damage) allows the necro to pretty much ignore corpse explosion and aim for other things. We always had a great time with it.
