So don't update or connect to the network. Most don't have any issue, some do.

Some brick, some just freeze constantly.

Mine froze for hours. Every reboot failed at the point the xmb is loading.

Finally it works now, but let's all just wait a few days until we hear from sony that it is fixed.

Yup, read about someone's PS3 getting bricked. Sucks. I signed in last night and didn't see the update, so Sony must have pulled it.
