If you were with us when we were playing DD1, you know how amazing the game was. But this time around, they are trying a few things new. Firstly, it's free to play. Like a lot of other F2P games, DD2 will have a multitude of characters (24 and growing) that you can pay for. And while I don't really prefer this model, I'll deal with it for Trendy. It also helps that you can simply buy all the characters with in-game currency if you really feel like it. Though I have a feeling they are going to be a bit more expensive with in-game currency than they are worth. But with the F2P model, it kind of has to be that way. Which is part of the reason I don't like it.

So the good old stuff you remember from DD1 comes back. Amazing co-op experience with tower defense mixed with RPG. But there is an entirely new mode they are introducing. If you are a fan of LOL, HON, or DOTA.... DD2 will have a 5v5 moba mode. All your levels, equipment, pets, and skills carry over from co-op mode to moba mode. And the reason I post this here in Mag Online is because it's already in beta. It's closed, so you have to just request and hope to get in, but the actual moba mode releases in a few months anyways.

I can see this being a game we play here for a very long time. Specially if DD1 is anything to go by. And once we are done with the co-op mode, we can pit the mag crew against other people online. Should be loads of fun.
