WE HAVE A LOCALIZED NAME OH MY HRMM YES. The Japanese title was "Jump Out" in Katakana, but now we have ours. Basically, it fits- Animal Crossing is turning over a "New Leaf" as Nintendo puts it. Also perfect choice because that furniture leaf icon is so... iconic.

And a... A TRAILER!

And so much info now. So much. I really wanna wait to cover this on the podcast for when it actually is going to come out(we don't know yet! Q1 2013- it honestly minds me of all my "PLEASE COME OUT SOON" feelings from reading release dates like that back in the day in Nintendo Power).

And, a plethora of news bits from an archived /v/ thread. It's not bad! Though it will cease to be archived in 5 days(I'm sure new weekly ones will replace it, however).

My most excitement is stemming from the fact that I can choose to have a night town. It really bummed me out that the animals would like, go to bed at 8 PM for the most part. Now you can choose to have a night life with more shops and whatnot open later.

Yeah, this is really gonna hopefully be a good game when it finally releases. I've always loved the charm the Animal Crossing games had, and it's nice just to be able to play games like this stress-free. I sunk so much into Animal Crossing on the Gamecube (spent probably two years playing it), and spent months on Animal Crossing: Wild World.

The only Animal Crossing game I didn't play was the Wii version, which felt just like the DS version brought to the big screen. There just wasn't enough there to justify my time with it. I'm really hoping that New Leaf (which is an awesome subtitle, btw) offers enough new features to make playing this one worthwhile.

Only thing is that I miss the 3/4 perspective from the one on GC. It could just be just because I had the most fond memories of that game, though.

I'm in the same boat. I never really cared about City Folk, but I spent a ton of time with Wild World and the original. This game however, has me really excited. I'm expecting a lot.

Also, dat DJ KK.

Wow, I'm surprised other people played, haha. BUT NOW WE CAN HAVE FRUIT TRADING AND STUFF CLUB.

But yeah. I never really played my copy of City Folk much, if at all. Earnestly, I just... couldn't get into it like I did the GC and DS versions. Wild World was amazingly addicting for me since well- I was just starting college when that came out and always had a DS on me since I lived on campus and just was almost never in my dorm at some points. That being said, my DS stuff is packed up in one of my boxes right now(I brought it down from our apartment). While looking for it, I stumbled upon a shrink-wrapped copy I opened that is my GF's I apparently packed. I was kinda like "Y U NO START DIS GAME" but then it was sweet bliss when it still had that new game scent, haha.

The original is still the best to me. I love that you can visit towns over WiFi with the later versions, but that was the one I would sit there and play a ton.

Honestly, I think New Leaf is bringing back what people loved about the original and Wild World.... and sneaking in some of the City Folk stuff slightly with some of the shops. But I think it's gonna work out this time.

I was also laughing at people so mad on the trailer going "WHY IS KK SKRILLEX" or whatever. I don't even like dubstep, but not all house/techno music is dubstep haha.

I'm really excited about this as well.

S'nice, since then you can more than likely just join them in-game. Sadly, it has been confirmed that there's no voice chat- but honestly it'd suck on a 3DS more than likely anyways.:P

One more thing- I mentioned there was a Nintendo Direct(JP) stream a while back. Found it with English subs on Youtube! It's 6 parts, but very worth it. I honestly think it's great that Nintendo has in-depth stuff like this. They're seriously good at utilizing their media nicely.

I bought the first Animal Crossing while STANDING IN LINE AT BEST BUY. The line was about ten people long and the Gamecube bargain bin was within arm's reach. Among the pile was a cute-looking game depicting a house and it's inhabitants smiling. For twenty bucks I couldn't go wrong.

So, on a cold December morning, I popped that disc in and played from hours to days.

If I ever pick up a 3DS, this might go into my list because I'll play more of an AC game on a portable system than on a Wii or WiiU.

And also because I want to chop down myoky's trees.

I spent so may days of my life on the Gamecube version! (If you think about it, it's not like I can spend someone else's days, or can I?)
The DS one too before they stole it along with my DS -_-
I skipped Wii version, but this one really caught my attention. I want to be a mayor! :D

He probably had it coming after a certain co-op game.:P I kid, I kid. But that's awesome. As for myself, I think I recall seeing reviews and also my neighbor at the time had it first. I was like "What is this?" and then was like "must have". Admittedly, I gave the whole thing to my little sister when she was younger, and now I think I might still have parts of it, but not all of it. So I got a complete used copy on the cheap.:P

Also, excellent to hear Guar! The mayor thing really does look awesome. Poor Tortimer isn't gone yet though- he runs the tropical island you can travel to. :)
