Ganon as a boss in alot of zelda games get boring after time through time. It needs a boss more smarter and better than Ganon.

Which is why in the past several games, Bowser was more of comedic relief than an actual villain. You can only find so many ways to beat the guy up. Dunk him in a lava pool, trick him into stomping a hole in his own castle floor, chuck a few mechakoopas at a flying-in-koopa-kart him, throw eggs at a giant him, twirl him around and toss him into a few bombs, flip over his floating bath tub...

Yeah, you know they had to have run out of ideas when they came up with that last one. I felt like I was playing a Bowser battle from a Mario Party game.

Anyway, my point is, you can only use a villain so much before he becomes childs play. Smithy, Cackleta, and Grodus were a nice change of pace. Even though you still had to fight Bowser at some point in those quests, fighting him was more of a novelty while you quested your way through the game.

Vaati is the final boss on Minish Cap, Four Swords, and Four Swords Adventures. Majora is the final boss on Majora's Mask.

And there's the Nightmare in Link's Awakening, and Dark Link in The Adventure of Link. Then there's Onix and some other villain in the Oracle games. So, out of the 12 Zelda games so far, 5/6 of them have Ganon/dorf as the final boss.

Okay, my mistake, Ganon isn't overused.

Anyway, regarding Ocarina of Time, there is something I remembered today. In one issue of Nintendo Power, they had an interview with Miyamoto that involved OoT either partially or wholly. In it, he said that "unlike what they do with the Final Fantasy games", which focused on the story with the gameplay just coming as a result of it being a game, he focused on the gameplay first, with the story coming as a result of what sort of things are done in the game.

I'd search through my issues of NP to find the exact quote, but considering how far along NP has progressed since OoT/MM, finding it would be a bit of a pain.

The final boss on Oracle of Seasons name is Ornix, or Onix, or something like that. :P

Onix it was. And I seem to recall NOW that there was actually prolific mention of Vaati in the TP interview, though how involved he was to be in the aforementioned was not divulged.

Ganon will be on the game for sure and you can play as more than just Link(You can be wolf Link, Zelda, the others are kept secret by Nintendo). That is the most important info I know. Oh, and it will come out near the end of April 2006 and will be on Gamecube.

You have a point there, it would be an ironic twist if Ganon and link team up to defeat a greater foe.

Playing as ganondorf would be the sh*t, totally. I think that ganondorf also is a little more...shall we say, cunning than bowser. He makes a better enemy because he's not stupid, just alarmingly evil.

Dreamy indeed, either way I think Ganon is as good as a 'recurring' nemesis comes. They just need to give him more variance in the ploy department.

*Hopefully breathes life into thread with weak question*

So we got which game you liked the best and all, but which world did you guys like the best. You know which map of hyrule did you like the best. I liked the OoT alot of course because it was massive and revolutionary for the time, but I think the Windwaker was the coolest. The ship and winds, all the little nuances. Very interesting. I also loved the LttP alot. Thats probably only because I played it so much that I never everything about it. Although Termania was a welcome change in MM.

That doesn't make sense...anyways, my favorite was Majora's Mask's Termania. Clock Town makes me feel....well I don't know how to explain it. :P The masks, quests, dungeons, and enemies were great. Nintendo truly did an awesome job on this game. If I didn't play that one demo of TP, then this would be my favorite LOZ game. :)

Ocarina's. Most notably with the many dungeons. The atmpshere in those places was so well-done. If only Hyrule Field had been interesting to look at.
