I've been avoiding treasure chests since most of them had "Monsters!" in them or some other useless item. Now after my next progress report, I probably regret this since I pretty much screwed myself out of beating the game. Here's what happened:

I made it all the way to Zeromus. However I didn't expect he'd be immune to EVERYTHING! I did some research and it turns out there's one item that works called "Crystal", but I don't have it nor do I know where I can find it. If someone can help me out, I'd appreciate that.

That's all for now.

Pay close attention to the dialogue before the battle begins.

Okay, so I was asked about my progress regarding Zeromus and this is what I got:

Cecil has 3033 HP
Rydia has 1393
Rosa has 2490
Edge has 2219
Kain has 3288

If I decide to restart at the last save point, these numbers would go down since this is not an RPG that let's you keep your accumulated experience points.

What are the party members' actual levels? The minimum recommended level for the final boss is 50.

I am unable to check this because I have two save states: One at the last save point and the other at the Zeromus fight post dialogue.

So as it stands, I am currently no match for Zeromus. Here's what happened:

So I figured I go through the final dungeon one more time in hopes of doing more level grinding. Worked out in my favor and the only person that did not reach Level 50 is Edge. Now, does anyone recommend I do this again? If so, I'll need to find someplace to buy more Cabins because I am all out as of now.

Also, there is an item in my inventory called "Life". I figured it could be used anytime to revive allies but somehow the game won't let me use it. Can anyone explain why?

That's all for now.

When in doubt, level grind some more. Plus, if you haven't gotten Rydia's best summon in another dungeon on the moon, go get it as your team can far more-easily handle the enemies in there now.

To get more Cabins, simply head back to your ship, interact with the crystal there, and return to any town that sells them (there's also free healing inside of the ship by stepping onto the bed-like structures).

As for the Life item not working, it of course can only be used on KO'd allies. I can't think of any reason why it couldn't be used otherwise.

You may want to level some more, but it shouldn't be too much more. as a pretty much insured victory, you may want everyone (except maybe Rosa and Rydia since they take longer) to be around level 60.

Your space ship has free healing on it, and you can use it to go back to Earth and get more items and stuff if you need.

If you didn't get everyone's best equipment in the final dungeon, now may be a good time to do so. Cecil especially should have a full set of Crystal equipment (sword, shield, helmet, armor and gloves). Everyone else's best weapons are found in the dungeon as well.

Along with the two Ribbons (for Rosa and Rydia). Of note is that Cecil's Crystal Sword is slightly hidden. There's an invisible bridge around B5 that extends beyond a single-panel outcropping and leads to the left. There is also a save point prior to that boss that gives the weapon for a very good reason.

I DID IT! I FINALLY BEAT THE GAME! Here's what happened:

In yet another attempt to defeat Zeromus, Rydia and Edge were at Level 52 while others were slightly higher. I knew as the battle was winding down that it was either a lucky win or a heartbreaking loss because at one point Rosa ran out of MP which meant that if one ally was down, they're done. But even with two allies still alive at the end, it was a triumphant victory!

Sometime next week, I will post my overall reaction about this game. So be on the lookout for that.

Okay, everyone. Time for my overall reaction on this game:

The storyline alone was rather done well in this game. The fact that only few characters can do magic makes it a more interesting concept from the sixth game. Not only that, but the fact that not every character is available to fight at one time makes it somewhat limited as to who you can use at a time. I also like how you can re-order your current party. But I don't know if this changes the order each party member attacks in. Though there are two things I think could've happened: FuSoYa could've been a permanent party member (he would've helped for the Zeromus fight) and any accumulated HP/MP you could've kept. But I get that not every RPG does that. I'm also glad they have a feature where you can quickly exit out of a dungeon instead of having to exit the long way (reminds me of those mice from EarthBound).

Now my final thoughts on this game: Would I ever LP this game? Probably. Not sure if I will yet. With all the story elements and charcters used in the game, on a scale of 1-10, I'd give this game an 8.

Be on the lookout for the fourth installment of my "GoldGlee Plays..." series (Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga) starting in January 2016.
