It's frustrating that they put the "Go to the Floating Continent" option first when navigating on the airship. But at least you can go back and resupply when needed.

You didn't finish the floating continent. The boss is still furthur ahead. The airship was just there in case you needed to go back for supplies.

Okay, so maybe not watching a walkthrough while I play wasn't so bad (despite a few mistakes here and there). Here's what happened.

I finally found my way through the Floating Continent by reaching Gestahl, Kefka, and three statues. Gestahl tried to battle Kefka, but failed. Then later on, I had 6 minutes to escape. Then comes the part where I had to "Jump" or "Wait". I'm thinking this must've been the part where Dyne and Dray were telling me to "Wait" and I screwed it up. (smack) I found out that the only thing different if you choose to "Wait" is so Shadow can escape with you. So the only way I could re-do this action just to pick "Wait" is to either lose a battle or reset the game.

Anyway, after the Floating Continent blew up, Cid and Celes were the lone survivors. Since Cid was hungry, he sent Celes to go catch a fish. So I guess the next thing to do is to try and catch the fish.

That's all for now.

Congratulations. You have killed Shadow. He is permanently dead. Wallow in your sorrow.... murderer.

Not necessarily, Lantis. Since I didn't do a real save, I do have one chance to bring Shadow back: Just simply reset the game and start over halfway through the Floating Continent. (I know, I might regret doing this. But I'm left with no choice)

There's always a choice. You can embrace your dark side. It's okay... just let him go. He wasn't specially anyways. Remember how he just left your party early on with Sabin and Cyan? He doesn't deserve to live. SLAY HIM!

Could be worse. A friend of mine once got a few hours into the World of Ruin, got a game over and hadn't saved since before the Floating Continent.

Well, time for another progress report. Here's what happened:

So after Celes and Cid were the only two survivors, Celes kept feeding Cid fish until Cid somehow died. Then Celes was on her own until she got to Tzen. It is there where she had 6 minutes to save a child from inside of a house that was about to collapse. Now, me personally, I find this to be rather frustrating just based on how many battles I was forced to do because the amount of battles I had to fight was cutting it close to the time limit. Sure, doing this may have taken a few tries, but it was all worth it in the end. Next time, I will attempt to find Mobilz.

That's all for now.

One of the saddest and most-tear jerking scenes in the game ruined by censorship in the original US release.

It is possible to avert that scenario though, but the one you experienced is canon (and makes the ending make more sense, actually).

Okay, not much to explain here. But here's what happened anyway:

Basically after Sabin came back, the next place to venture to was Mobilz. At one point I feared I was going the wrong way, but I didn't. On the way, I encountered some rather difficult battles (which is to be expected at this point). I also can't believe I didn't know this a while ago, but I noticed there is a way to cure the "Imp" ailment. Now that I know about it, I'm going to use it when needed. Next thing to do would be to figure out what to do in Mobilz.

That's all for now.

Explore every inch of the town. Some very important events take place in there both now and later.

This progress report will probably be short. But here's what happened:

I made it to Mobilz, but the only thing I was able to do was find Terra. Apparently, Terra chose not to re-join the party. So we had to move on and fight a mini-boss. But from that point on, I went to all the other buildings in Mobilz and it didn't seem like anything else could be done at the moment. So looks like it's time to forge on.

That's all for now.

Time for another progress report. Here's what happened:

After exiting Mobilz, it was time to head to another town where I found Edgar posing as someone else. After that, it was time to board a boat to South Figaro. Once there, I went through a cave to find out that Castle Figaro sunk underground and the only way to bring it back to the surface was to defeat a mini-boss made up of four tentacles.

That's all for now.

You're almost at the point where things become far less linear. Have fun looking around.

Time for another progress report. Here's what happened:

Now that Castle Figaro is back up to the surface, it's time to head back to Kohlingen where we found Setzer. After convincing him to re-join the party, the next destination was some tomb. The tomb had some interesting mechanics in my opinion such as, lowering and raising the water level as well as inserting a certain sentance backwards. Then after the battle with Dullahan, Setzer starts to have flashbacks. It is then, we learn the flying airship's name is The Falcon. Next order of business will be to head back to Maranda.

That's all for now.

Time for another progress report. Here's what happened:

The primary focus this time was Narshe. When I arrived, all the buildings were closed. So there was no way to stock up on items. However, then came a fight with Tritoch. Everything was going fine once I figured out his weakness. Then came entering a cave after jumping off a ledge. I have yet to navigate my way out of the cave, so that'll be my focus for next time.

That's all for now.

You need one certain character back in order to open the locked doors in Narshe, but you can recruit two more within the town itself.
