I was planning on hopping on earlier, but got too caught up doing stuff., its embarrassing, my whole house was built with dirt walls and stone blocks, which is the absolute incorrect way to get NPCs to move in! Took a while but I got the refurnishing done this morning.

Mimic Farming guide. I think the tunnels may not have been long enough for them to spawn, but hopefully this should help.

Also- the Dragon Mask(godly pre-hardmode underground chest find), has been confirmed to be a bug- you're not supposed to get it that early. So spelunking worlds for chests may be a very good idea right now- especially since we're all decked out for the surface, underground, and underground 2 layers to chest spelunk. I recommend doing this highly! The helmet itself has 26 defense among other stats, and is a recolor of the Jungle hat. Good hunting!

I should also be able to play some tonight. Dunno what time, going to garden in the early evening- probably at like 9 or 10 EST.:O

Hmm, I guess I could just extend it out a ways... Maybe instead of standing by the bunny farm during a blood moon, I could go grab a candle and see if I don't have better luck.

But I think you are right about looking for that helmet. That would save a LOT of resources to just find it. Our adamantite helmets aren't that much worse at 22 defense. But I would like to save having to construct an extra set of all the other helmets plus the hallow helmet. Actually, to get all the top tier suits, you'd have to craft three of all the hard mode ore for the hallow part, and then all of them again to combine with said hallow part.

We're going to need a LOT of adamantite.

Oh, btw. Please stock pile any lenses you find. I'm fresh out and they are needed to summon the twins. Rotten chunks and bones are easy enough to find though. We'll need to grind these three for a while to get all the souls needed for all this stuff.

Btw. Just thought of something.

If you find gold chests, scatter a bunch of empty ones around spawn. If griefers jump in your game, they'll check those before getting to your house. Should buy you the few seconds you need to quit the game before they steal anything.

Here's my current work-in-progress PVP arena. Im trying to balance it so projectiles and melee weapons work well.



Had I built this as a structure on the surface, it wouldve allowed me to customize the walls. I like the redvsblue (or blue vs red in this case, lol) motif going on but the blue light is clearly not as illuminating as the torches. I dont think the arena is big enough for hazards, that'd be kind of a pain, no pun intended. Looking on youtube, there are some really solid pvp arenas, and even servers dedicated to them. Its cool and just shows how much fun can be had in Terraria when you get your creative juices flowing.

You could throw some lava at the bottom if you wanted. Maybe a five wide pool on each side.

But yeah, that looks real good, man. I'll be glad to jump in there and kick your ass.

Okay, I give up on the Dragon Helmet. I've been through three worlds exploring their jungles entirely. I've seen so many gold chests but none of them had it. The rarest thing I got was a petri dish.

Nope! They can be anywhere in a map! Not just Jungles. It's a glitch, but they're there. There's multiple confirmations. Just really off-chance to find. They are also usually packaged in with another uncommon or rare- like you could find a Dragon Mask with a Petri Dish or Hermes Boots or something.

I wanna play tonight! I am going to get a sub from Penn Station right now though. Real life dig dig digging- weeding/gardening is no joke man.

Oh. My. God.

After two hours (three for me before Remeer showed up) of trial and error. Remeer and I defeated the Wall of Flesh. Not just once, TWICE so we both got stuff. Too bad Fay and Lantis weren't around, it was a lot of fun.



Our first few tries were not successful, with the unpredictable terrain in the underworld it was hard fighting the Wall of Flesh while moving away from it. Thanks to the long bridge we built near the bottom (that and thanks to death scythes) we were able to fight our fleshy foe without the terrain working against us. And how did we celebrate? By duking it out in the PVP arena. Big thanks to Remeer for the help and the lucky horseshoe. Pwnhammers are pretty sweet.

Congrats. I'm surprised you didn't beat him on your first time since you were geared up in hard mode armor... which you can't actually make till after you beat WOF. Fay and I managed to tag him with Necro and Shadow armor, which isn't even the strongest armor you can get before hard mode.

What I recommend first off is going into the newly generated hallow and dig underground and find crystals on the wall. If you combine 25 of them with a phaseblade, you'll get what is the next to strongest sword in the game... DPS wise. It REALLY helps out with the new mobs that spawn in hard mode. Also, you could visit hallow and corrupted deserts and kill mummies. Depending on where you are when you kill them, they will drop shards of light and dark which are used to make the strongest flail in the game (along with a few souls of light and night which drop from enemies underground in the new biomes). Though you'll need a mythril anvil. So you'll need to take your pwnhammers and break as many demon alters as you can so you can drill up some mythril. I'm assuming you already had at least cobalt drills from my world, so you should be able to mine it.

Anyways, welcome to hard mode.

Aside from maybe picking up a philosopher stone, all I really need to do is just grind the hell out of the hard mode bosses. Those souls aren't easy to come by. The problem with boss grinding is that if you try and solo them and die, they leave. In multiplayer, they don't. So yeah. Help is required.

What Lantis said! To add, to make the Phasesaber- first you need a Phaseblade! That's 20 meteorite bars and a gem of your choice to dictate the color. In order to make the Phasesaber(the best hard mode sword in the game pre-Excalibur) you need 50 crystal shards found in underground Hallow.

Second thing- dig out a 6 space hole around your base! Including underground- it should look like a blocky horseshoe. Corruption is only stopped by Hallow, and vice versa. They will both creep to your base.

Thirdly, I need to jam some Terraria tonight! Lantis, we need to just blow on Wall of Flesh to have him splat haha. The emblems he drops are amazing. Also PwnHammer.

I totally wouldn't complain on a Warrior Emblem drop. About what time will you be on tonight? SK mentioned that he'd help me with some Arc Arath around 8, I think.

Also, I forgot to mention that before I left the other night, I managed to find the Souls of Might. They were way off to the right in the air.

The search for Dragon Mask and/or pets continues. I finally moved to my jungle... but nothing so far. Though the Excalibur cuts through jungle mobs like butter.
