That's probably more true. Maybe he just put Alastor where ever he put Ifrit.... and Cerebus, and Agni & Rudra, and Nevan, and Bewulf...

It would be too hard to cover up the plot holes on why he doesn't use older weapons, so I'm not going to try an over analize it... I guess.

Woot! I got my PS3 this weekend! I'm DMC4 ready. Now all I have to do is wait for the release date to say something other than "To Be Determined".

And btw... everything works on that PS3 like a dream. Also, I just ordered my PS3 Memory Card Adaptor and am planning to write a walkthrough on using it to get all RM work to run on it.

Ever since DMC 1, Capcom has made it a point to introduce a new character. In 2, it was Lucia... and 3, Vergil. Besides, it's not like DMC 4 doesn't have Dante at all. He is key to the storyline.

Actually, I'm kind of guessing that because of what I know of the storyline, that you will actually be fighting Dante as a boss. I mean, to actually play aginst Dante? That sounds pretty freakin sweet to me.

Besides, just becase it isn't Dante, doesn't make it a bad game. If you've seen gameplay vids, you'd know that they it's going to rock hard anyway.

AND EVEN THEN, it's a pretty decent bet that Dante is going to be playable.

So, no worries, right?

I hope Lucia, Trish, and of course Virgil come back as well. It would be awesome if each of them were playable characters.

Still the game is gonna kick ass. The PS3 has a ringer in their hands i bet.

If anyone was worried that there would be bonus features and diffrences between the Xbox and PS3 versions... no worries. Kobayashi, the producer of DMC4 said there won't be many diffrences. I'm assuming the worst of which is going to be the controls.

Also, It has also been confirmed that Dante is 100% going to be a playable character. So all you babies out there who ordered the Wahmburger and large french cries can shush. He's going to be there.

And no news on an official release date. It still sits somewhere around the 4th quarter of this year. My guess is that before it's all said and done that it gets pushed back to '08.

The official website has been updated. There is a crap load of information about Dante including actual gameplay footage of him. Give it a look-see.

And for the record, I'm teaching myself video editing and I'll probably be using this footage and more for a quick AMV to try and get some experience in editing under my belt.

Taking a closer look at those vids... I see something that unlocks so much more potiential in the DMC combo system. Remember in DMC 3 how you had 6 diffrent classes (Trickster, Gunslinger, Swordmaster, Royal Guard, Doppelganger, and quicksliver) right? The only way you could change your style was before a mission or at a statue...

In the video of Dante, it seems he can change out his job class on the fly.... which is amazing seeing that just changing you weapons on the fly changed your combos drastically. Being able to change out weapons and your class on the fly litterally opens up hundreds of possibilities.

I don't imagine Devil May Cry 3 was a tough game for everyone. I'm sure some people just breezed through level after level. For me, though, that game was a nightmare.

Maybe it has something to do with never having played the first two games. I didn't have enough experience at that particular type of gameplay. Popped the game in and couldn't get past the first level. A couple of dozen attempts later, I was frustrated enough to call it quits.

Kind of similar to Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox. Something about that game, I tell you. I could get to a certain point, and then no matter what I did, kaput. I got sliced and diced. And yet my best friend came over and played through nearly the whole game in a couple of days.

Suffice to say, I've learned my lesson. I will be steering quite clear of Devil May Cry 4. The devil may cry all he wants, he'll have to get a tissue from somebody else. Dante and I do not get along.

On a side note, I ended up getting the DMC novels... don't really bother, I didn't really much care for them. They gave a bit more insite on Dante, but not enough to constitude a reason to buy them...

Also, the official release is still due out within the fourth quarter of 2007 within northern america... but no specific date.
