That's funny considering horde outnumber alliance on almost every server. They outnumber us 3:1 on my server. >_>

Well, I'm on an RP server and I seriously didn't feel I could fit into a Horde character on my first character. I always played human in Warcaft II, so I'm brainwashed by now.

I wouldn't worry, I have a feeling a lot of people will be starting a Horde character up after Burning Crusade considering Blood Elves can be Paladins now, I don't know the popularity of Shaman so I don't know if it will go both ways.

Also, Alliance does not outnumber Horde on my server. There are more horde, and it's close to a 1:1 ratio.o_O

yes. well on my server seems like theres an alliance every corner u turn. besides. bliz hates the horde, they never fixed that exploit in Alterac Valley for them but took away ours =( tiniy lil hill to get into a bunker..psht. (pvp whore i am)

but anyway. hopefully u enjoy it all and get to 60 fast! that or become a twink. twinks are annoyingly good..

Looks like I'm gonna have to make a new character and play all day friday-saturday(24hour cycle) to make it to 20 in one day. Well I guess having insomnia for that isn't a bad thing except WoW does have a system to monitor if you've been on too long it will be less rewarding to continue. But I suppose thats a rumor

She's a cool cat, she offered to let me play one of her alts if I felt like I wanted to play until I buy WoW after Otakon.

But the Draenei look too interesting to pass up, and I like their lore. I also like the Paladin lore, hence a main reason I picked the class.

Much luck is needed for that, I might defect to horde as well. I wondered about that for a while. I wonder if ixzion will buy this one day and play it.

Ixzion does not have a high opinion of WoW because of how addicting it is. Trust me.

He isn't going to be playing it anytime soon, crunch time will soon start for our major project- which I will definitely be putting above any online game. I try to manage my time the best I can, but I play 3 quite honestly and need to finish up one goal on another.

WoW, Maplestory, PSO:BB, and when PSU comes out, well. That WILL be uber addicting since it's the newest MMO coming out with an original style.

I'm sure I'll see some people on PSU, although mainly people at the Pavilion plan to be on it.

MMO's are addicting to some people not all, I can get addicted to video games but not to a video game. I can understand his reasoning behind that logic. I suppose I might get PSU

Funny though, roles were reversed and I'm guessing Draenei cannot be Paladins anymore since Blood Elves can also be Paladins as seen on the official site. Perhaps they're letting the new classes have access to both Shaman and Paladin? I think that'd be overpowering the races though.;o

and yea. i think it'll be a class specific if draenei get to be shamies and bloodelves get to be pallies. cuz then that make ppl reroll to try out the new classes AND characters at teh same time.

shamans= Teh overpowered wwith stormstrike.

pallies= The Overpowered Bubble.

pallies do lack the DPS needed sometimes....but make good tanks in some situations, and healers.

Hmmmm curious, curious. The factions are still the same as Warcraft 3? (Alliance, Horde, Undead, Nightelf) or did they reomve/put something? And I guess you can choose different races inside a faction... or a faction makes you choose always one race?

I'm just curious. I don't play, but I really like knowing how these games work. One day I'll develop a MMORPG for the RPG Maker 1 (haha yeah right).

draenei are going to get the option of being shamans, and blood elves are going to get to be paladins. That does f*ck all for alliance, because no one in their right mind would take a shaman to any group over a paladin, but it's going to make horde even more powerful. Blizzard is f*cking retarded for trying to fix a pvp imbalance by instead of FIXING the problem, adding something new.

Like, seriously, was someone in the development room going "Hey! George! Fix this imbalance!" George: "Okay, right after I finish this line of coke."

I mean, seriously, what are they thinking? Next it'll be OMFG HORDE DONT HAVE FEAR WARD sh*t GIVE THEM CORRUPTED DWARVES. =o

No one can call it a rumor, as it was announced on the official site. It is, at best, a prank. It could only be a rumor if it wasn't announced and just random people were wandering around going OH CRAP I HEARD _______. ISNT THAT DUMB? OMFG LOL

The thing is, last game of this universe I played was Warcraft 3. They had 4 factions back there: Alliance, Horde, Undead Scourge and Night Elf [something].

I guess after the events of the end of WC3, the Night Elves (who were unknown to the rest of the world until then) joined the alliance. And the rest of the undead (without their prince Arthas and the dreadlords, who were banished) joined the Horde. That's what I suppose happened...

Edit: OMG! Where is the Demon Hunter?? It was the badassest hero ever. They should've kept it as a class.

yea i meant prank... kinda like the whole alliance getting wisps as a new character... heh.

shamans are pretty powerful themselves...pvp wise. resto/elemental mainly for pve... which is dumb.

i guess with paladins on horde we'd have more healers every now and then, and...the bubble...

but yea. pretty pointless to have em on each side now. more pointless to know which FACTION to go to for certain classes..*sigh* but if they keep it to one class i guess it be ok... cept alot of ppl will be rerolling to play em... that or trek on to lvl 70!

Eh, I kind of hope it's a prank too. It makes no damn sense that the Blood Elves who have fallen into corruption should still be able to use the power of light. The antagonist of Paladin just seems more appropriate here. And here we have the Draenei, those who strayed from the path of evil to become the opposite of a Paladin which stands for the light...

I agree, if there's PVP imbalances, stop nerfing the characters getting screwed and fix them instead of making the biggest longshot in lore race-class relations ever. I seriously think this could really mess up the PvP aspect of the game. It's fine for those servers with like, 3:1 ratios that need to be fixed in favor of Alliance, but I seriously hope I can get to a decent level before I'm overrun.

When I started, I knew Paladins weren't in too high of favor and that they had a lower DPS than warriors(if they had higher they'd simply be too overpowered). In PSO, I play a HUnewearl, which is basically a buffing and healing warrior-type. So I figured a Paladin was a lot like that in many respects. Also- lore, lol.

Neat. Maybe I'll make my Draenei a Shaman instead of a Warrior. I'd take a long time to decide though, since I spent like forever looking at the classes before even starting my trial account(didn't play the first day).

The opposite of the Paladin is the undeads' Death Knight >.<
