Generic, how? Both FFX and FFXII aren't anything like their predecessors.

Hello... Final Fantasy Tactics, and Tactics Advance?

well its my verdict. generic. i dont play generic games. i stick to that verdict like flies stick to fat people.

Actually, each Final Fantasy is unique in it's own way.

I'll just grab a few...

6 = Esper system.

7 = Materia system

8 = Junctioning sytem

Tactics = Tactical RPG job class system

X2 = Active time job class system

Those don't seem too "generic" to me...

FF6 is too awesome to be generic.

FF7 and FF8 (moreso the latter) broke away from traditional RPGs by taking place in part-modern-part-futuristic settings.

FFX broke away from traditional Final Fantasy altogether. No world map, a debatingly interesting battle system, the infamous sphere grid, etc.

FFXII breaks even further away by having a big explorable world and a battle system based on FFXI's (except not as tedious).

Oh!FF6 it's been so long since i played that game, oh it was so great!Although i kinda hate FFXII.Since they left out the old battle system and making it real complicated like an action game.As for FF7 and FF8 it was okay and nice, 9 and 10 well just okay.

Complicated like an action game? It still uses the ATB and targeting enemies to attack and use spells on. It's just faster. Have you tried slowing the battle speed down?
