Not to undermind your achievement, Guarionex, as it really does take time to get strong enough to beat every optional boss in Star Ocean 2, but, didn't you too find Gabrie's evil twin to be easier to beat than you would have expected? I mean, she had like over three million HP; I didn't expect her to go down that fast when I fought her.

Location: Out there. In that place. You know, with the "thing"
When I beat Chaos if FF1. I thouhgt i had mad skillz. (it took 45 minutes!)

I also beat MM1 with out cheating (which, apparently is the ONLY way to beat the other six on the NES, as well as MM8 on the SNES.)

I once taped myself (i.e. I was using my VCR as an RF switch, so I pluged a tape in) Playing Spyro the Dragon. I remember that i was attempting to run a flawless game, and with out pausing eather. I failed actualy. The magic crafter flight is EVIL. You have to go into a nose dive IMMEDIATLEY and then pull up j-u-s-t before you hit the water to get the first ring. If you miss you might as well start over because then you will not only have an incorrect flight path to get the other rings in the area, you'll waste time by having to back track to get the stuff you missed. Still, i when on to beat the game and other than that slight hickup, I did not die. Took 6 hours straight!.

OMG, there are more of you ppl out there!

SK has been recording his gameplay for years. He has countless VHS tapes that we came come to call the "Tapes of Cool Stuff" (TOCS). But that aside, Final Fantasy I is, to this day, the HARDEST Final Fantasy out here. You get props for beating it... major props. I barely made it through the game myself.

Oh, and FYI... I still have the old Nintendo game cartridge for it!

That was the one you fought after playing the instrument right? (It was so many years ago!)
I guess so. She didn't last as much as the others... but I don't remember much of it actually

I've taped myself playing video games a few times. But I only did it for the sake of taping myself. Never as a challenge.

NOTE: It's a bit loud so turn down your volume before viewing.

While not my best achievement ever in video games (or in that one) I was pretty happy to be able to pull that off. Oddly enough in trying to do that I found a glitch in the collision detection system and was able to go under the ground and do this.

Image

Yes that's -1000000 altitude. And the plane is a YF-23 Black Widow II if anyone was interested (real plane but got beat out by the F-22).

I guess one achievement is beating all of the Mega Man X's and finding all the secrets in them, including an little known glitch in Mega Man X2 where you can find a glitch area. I'll get a video up of it soon.

And I've beaten half of the Mega Man games.

Also beat Time Crisis 3 with just the Handgun and got 85% accuracy while doing that.

Yay, Time Crisis!

As far as first person shooters... I beat Goldeneye for the 64 on the hardest setting. Oh, and I may post some screenies of me pwning in Unreal Tournament.

*thinks*

Yeah, I'll do that once I get home.

Yeah, Time Crisis 3 was pretty cool. I imagine it was difficult to beat a lot of bosses and mini-bosses using only the handgun, too (at least in the case of when you were facing off against nonhuman enemies like entire airplanes and tanks, I know my hand would be seriously cramped after blowing them up with only a handgun).

Yeah definitely used up quite a few lives on those. Of course really if I had inifinite handgun I could beat the game pretty easy. I can fire the handgun almost like it's a machine gun, and with the right calibration have some pretty high accuracy with it. Still can't beat all the Crisis missions though as those are rediculously hard (well the last 4 of them anyway). Did beat the mission where you have to snipe people on jeeps who will start going faster than you can move the scope (so you have to zoom back out and reaim). That was a glorious day, cause that mission is pretty damn hard. Still not as hard as the couple I can't beat but yeah. One of the few missions I got the gold medal on.

This was a good thread, it needs a bump.

Well, you've heard of my DMC ventures being my best game accomplishments, right?

Well, I bought DMC 3 when it first came out. So when the special edition came out, I didn't bother. I thought Vergil was just a playable character that you could switch too when selectintg your costume.

I was wrong. I got the DMC 5th Anniversary Collection with the Speical Edition of 3.

Vergil has his own side of the game. So now I'm on a quest for Vergil Must Die...

BUT WAIT! It gets better. In the Special Edition, you have the option to speed up the game play up to 120% (Turbo Mode)

So my goal is to beat VMD mode on Turbo Mode... But that's not all. On his file, I'm not going to try and get all the blue orbs and max out his health either.

If I pull this off, it will be the greatest thing I've done in video games... ever.

Lol..oh god I got a list...But I'll just do the ones I'm most proud of.

1. Gabriel Celeste Beaten in Star Ocean 2

2. Freya Beaten in Star Ocean: Till the end of Time on 4d mode. Ummm...Yeah..that one was a pain in the but.

3. Took out Sphinx in Chrono Cross

4. Took out Ruby in FF7.

5. All optional bosses in WA 2

6. And my personal favorite. A 25-0 game of Halo 2 with me versus 3 friends. 25 shots. All head shots. Never hit once. ;)

Sad. Not much. :(

How difficult was the dungeon with Freya in Star Ocean 3, and about how many game hours of preparation did you have to put into it? I am definitely going to try to beat her once I finally get around to playing through the game. But with trying to finish SOE, I just sort of left a file in Airyglyph city (you know, waaaaaay at the beginning of the game) about two years ago and haven't touched it since.

*sigh* ... The only optional bosses in RPG's i have beaten are Emerald and Ruby Weapon, Gabrie Celesta, Iselia Queen, and Omega Weapon ....
But they seem like child's play compared to what Freya and the dungeon you have to go through to get to her sound like.
