Broke even this week as I opted to not buy a couple of eShop titles that caught my eye, but wanted to focus on what I already have (though I may still get one of them in the near future.

Also been playing a lot of Fire Emblem Heroes lately.

The only new title I'm expecting this week is River City: Rival Showdown on 3DS. The PSN offerings look slim and we'll see if the eShop even updates on Thursday.

Been a light week on progress as I spent most of it getting the Platinum for LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 and building up some good teams on Fire Emblem Heroes while grinding for orbs for this week's Legendary Heroes event.

A handful of new titles:

* Parascientific Escape - Crossing at the Farthest Horizon (3DSDL)
* Crimsonland (SwitchDL)

Only Vol. 3 of Parascientific Escape will count against the backlog as Apollo Justice and Crimsonland are ones I've played on previous systems- though Crimsonland is insanely fun and I highly recommend it. And Phil's Epic Fill-a-Pix Adventure didn't really grab me.

River City: Rival Showdown got delayed a week so that's expected to arrive tomorrow while Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is out on Friday. Also planning to get Star Ocean 4 Remastered.

Taking it easy this week to focus more on watching more of my unwatched TV series DVDs and enjoying a casual replay of Fire Emblem: Awakening as I've kept meaning to do one more run of it for quite a while.

Got a little bit of a bonus from work as part of my 5th anniversary, so I gave myself some early Christmas gifts to celebrate as this week had a lot of new releases I was and wasn't expecting.

New Acquisitions:
* Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope 4K & Full HD Remaster (PS4) - Nearbly 50gb of hard drive space but the load times are SO much faster.
* Knights of Valour (PS4) - Unfortunately the F2P formula constantly has "Connecting" messages, which are much more annoying on the PS4 than iPhone. The game's not bad, but I'll not count it against the backlog.
* Sky Force Reloaded (PS4) - Sequel to Sky Force Anniversary. If you liked that, you'll like this.
* Rogue Galaxy (PS4) - Been wanting to replay this for a while.
* River City: Rival Showdown (3DS) - Starting up has shown that this is a more direct remake of the original River City Ransom.
* Touhou Tenkuushou~ Hidden Star in Four Seasons (Steam) - A main Touhou game released in the west? I'm shocked!
* Rosenkreuzstilette (Steam) - Didn't know an English version had been released. This time I can actually follow its plot.
* Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel (Steam) - Ditto
* Xenoblade Chronices 2 (Switch) - So I pretty much forgot about everything else above to play this after picking it up on Friday.

As noted above, I'm focusing on Xenoblade Chronicles 2 while also starting my New Game Plus run of Asdivine Cross on-the-go in order to see its true endings. Not a lot of progress this past week, but there aren't a lot I'm picking up until Christmas since most everything I'm interested in for December is on that list.

A light week this week as all of the new titles are ones that don't count against the backlog due to playing previous versions but were still worth getting.

I don't know what to expect this week since there are some PSN games that look worth looking into, but I may not get. The Dragon's Lair Trilogy was a nice surprise so I may get that for nostalgia purposes.

It actually happened, I got through the last week of 2017 without buying any more new games. Unfortunately I was also quite sick during the week and didn't make as much progress as I'd hoped, but could have done worse.

This week wasn't easy to get through as I was pretty sick. When I wasn't working or sleeping, I really wasn't up for any gaming until I started feeling better close to the weekend. So I spent a lot of time watching movies and watched the live action and animated adaptations of J.R.R. Tolkien's works (and there are several things that the animated films to better than Peter Jackson's adaptations).

No new titles this week, but still managed some progress:

New releases I'm interested in will slowly start trickling back in this week with Kirby Battle Royale on Friday. Currently working on 100%ing Super Mario Odyssey and expect to work on Alphadia Genesis II for on-the-go.

Broke even this week as I spent most of it finishing up 100%ing Super Mario Odyssey. Aside from needing to grind 20,000 coins at the end, it was quite fun from start to finish.

New titles this week are Link-A-Pix Color (3DSDL, not counted against the backlog) and Kirby Battle Royale.

Also spent a good chunk of this weekend working on some videos to use for if/when I can ever get back to streaming (my voice still isn't back to normal) and am currently undecided on what game(s) to focus on next.

Nothing beaten this week as progress has been split between three games right now. Working on Kirby Battle Royale's story mode, a livestream Let's Play of Final Fantasy VI: Return of the Dark Sorcerer, and got started on Lost Sphear over the weekend.

Other than Lost Sphear, I also bought Dragon Ball FighterZ and am enjoying it so far, except for needing to be online just to access the various game modes.

Finally, I picked up two more STGs ported to Switch, Strikers 1945 II and Zero Gunner 2.

I was planning to get Dissidia Final Fantasy NT this week, but cancelled my pre-order after learning that the Story Mode is somewhat pathetic compared to the PSP games and there isn't much else for single-player. I'm not expecting anything else until the end of next week but the PSN and eShop updates my provide surprises. I've also got a couple of titles waiting on Steam for when I can afford them since I get paid this week. Don't know if I'll get all at once though.

A good week this week as, despite getting several new games, I ended up with positive progress.

A bit late this week as I was incredibly sick over the weekend with Monday and Tuesday being better, but still very much non-functional for the most part. Despite that I managed to run errands and pick up yesterday's new releases, so I'll include those.

Over the last four days, I tried to complete the Radiant Historia demo to carry over to the full game, but barely even had the strength to hold up my 3DS to do that until Monday.

Bayonetta 1+2 on Switch is the only other release I'm picking up this week but I may get The Longest 5 Minutes after a price drop.

Need to dive into all of the new games plus the Fire Emblem Warriors DLC and Xenoblade 2 updates as they go live tonight/tomorrow so it'll be a good 3-day weekend. Though I'm a bit sad to hear that Dynasty Warriors 9 is leaving a lot of people disappointed with its initial impressions.

Positive progress this week courtesy of plenty of gaming time with only enough money to pick up 1 extra eShop release that I hadn't pre-ordered.

Another fairly quiet week as I did pick up SAO: Fatal Bullet and the PSN copy of Dragon Sinker to replay in the near future. Haven't tried Fatal Bullet yet as I was focused on the Secret of Mana remake, which I beat and 100%'d yesterday.

I don't quite know what I'll focus on this week as I need to try out SAO: Fatal Bullet and get some videos edited. After that I may dive into one of my main gaming goal games for the year since there's a two-week window before any planned new releases.

Pretty good week as I got started on a new goal. I noticed that Secret of Mana was my 96th Platinum on PSN, so I picked 3 games that I've already made progress on but haven't Platinum'd yet for #s 97-99 and will make #100 one of the three main games I want to play through this year.

As such:

* 100%'d Lost Sphear (PS4) for #98

Working on Ys VIII Vita for Platinum #99 and will be doing Battle Princess of Arcadias for #100. This and next week are great times to work on those since I don't plan to get any new releases until Kirby Star Allies next Friday.

No new games purchased at all last week. Rare, I know.

I did also try out SAO: Fatal Bullet and, despite not really being a shooter fan, think I'll be able to get into it. Only problem is it's 4th in line behind the other SAO games and they have an overarching story.

I've been playing Monster Hunter: World and Overwatch on PS4.
I regret not trying Overwatch before, but I assumed I wouldn't click with it since it's a FPS. (And I'm HORRIBLE at them)
I'm still a pretty lousy shot, but I like the fact that I can be useful in other ways too.

Sometimes you just get those titles in a genre you don't normally play that click. Have fun with Overwatch!

Been a full week as I worked on the two games I want to Platinum for #s 99 and 100 on PSN. Most of the early week was focused on Ys VIII Vita, where I'm on Chapter 5. Once the weekend rolled around I was really able to dive into Battle Princess of Arcadias and, after dealing with the early high learning curve levels, ended up having a lot of fun with it. I beat both the first and NG+ runs with just the grindy trophies left (get everyone to level 99, max out Honor with everyone, and win 100 Skirmishes).

Planned new releases for this week are Danmaku Battle 3 off the eShop and Kirby Star Allies. Should be a good one!

Still working on my Project Platinum 100 on PSN and have made good progress in beating the first run of Ys VIII and working on the Nightmare run to finish that up. Hoping to this week.

Though while my Vita needed recharging I opted to buy and download some of the games I'd been waiting a while to get and try them out... I didn't get past Celeste as I couldn't stop until beating the main story.
