I beat all the #$*&%#*$ time trials on Shadow of the Collossus on easy and all but 4 on hard and did the hard mode at lv1 thingy in castlevania portrait of ruin.
Those are pretty easy though.

I think the all time coolest thing I did was a speed run in Might & Magic VI,
and it's not something I'm likely to duplicate any time soon.

I completed the game and went everywhere and did everything within six
months of game time. 5 months, 13 days, to be exact.

To put this into perspective, an average game of Might & Magic VI can last
for years of game time if you don't know how to travel and train
efficiently. Traveling between regions can devour time. Leveling up at
the training hall devours a week of time, regardless of how much
experience you're turning in for levels. My first playthrough took almost a
year (game starts on January 1st, I completed it in late December), but I
didn't go everywhere and do everything.

My second playthrough was the groundbreaking speed run, and I did it
with a party of three sorcerers and a druid, the weakest characters in the
game. They leveled up a total of four times. They conqured an early-
game dungeon at Level 1 (a nearly suicidal endeavor), then trained and
gained 4 levels all at once. On their second level-up, they gained to Level
10. They conquered a vast majority of the game at lowly Level 10. They
were going up against opposition that was way tougher than they were.
They also mastered an extremely efficient way of travel to minimize time
lost traveling around. On the third level-up, they gained something like 35
levels all at once. On the fourth level-up, they gained another 30-
something. These guys went everywhere and did everything. Not one
treasure chest was left untouched, and not one bad guy was left standing.

I was competing with a guy who completed the game in less than two
months (a truly herculean task), but he was concentrating on running from
bad guys and completing the game's main tasks in as little time as
possible for a high score. Each day that passes decreases your score.
But the more you do, the higher your score gets. My goal was to see if I
could do everything within six months to meet or exceed his score. I
came pretty close. I documented the whole thing and submitted
my "walkthrough" to a Might & Magic site. I'd post the link, but the site
moved while I wasn't looking, and I haven't been able to find it.

Here's the kicker: I estimate that it would be possible to go everywhere
and do everything in four months. I wasn't as efficient with my traveling
as I could have been (especially during the early game). Time was
wasted here and there. I also think the fourth level-up is something I
could've gotten by without. I'm not likely to try again, though. The speed
run took a month of real time to play through. I did it several years ago.
Since then, I've probably forgotten all the details of the game, knowledge
of which would be essential to a good speed run.

.... Noted. ^_^

And here I thought nothing would seemigly take longer to accomplish than trying to make the necessary preparations to fight the optional boss of Star Ocean 3.

Chrono Cross - Garai

"Garai is a damn hard boss, since he has some REALLY powerful attacks that can kill your party in no time."
"This battle will be pretty tough, his triplecut attack can easily render Lynx alone and severely damage other party members."
"This will be a very long fight, so have patience and stay alive."
"This is most DEFINITELY the hardest battle you've fought so far - you'll come to the brink of death more than once."
"In fact, this is thought by many to be the toughest fight in the entire game."

After losing once, and defeating him out of luck with the last surviving character once, I managed to nail this auntclucker on the third try, with everyone alive and no one even on critical HP! HAH! *so happy*

Btw, Chrono Cross is one of those RPGs that simply do NOT let you level up as much as you want >.< No power-levelling this time. So... yeah. I'm pretty happy about this victory =D

The huge guy with two swords and grey armor. Found in Isle of the Damned, Home... you fight him looking for the
Einlanzer to unlock your way into the Dead Sea.
He also has a nice sub-story with Radius.

Oh, and by the way, I am REplaying the game. Meaning I have also defeated him in previous occasions... but soon... soon will come the the reason itself for that I have restarted the whole game... the nemesis... *shrug*DARIO*shrug*

Oh! That guy! .... It's been a while since I've played through Chrono Cross, so I didn't remember his name. Yeah, he was one of the few truly challenging bosses in that game. (Heh. Let's face it; 80% of the bosses in Chrono Cross are a real joke.)

... Oh, great. Now you've made it so that I want to play through Chrono Cross again with all of this nostalgic talk. ... Well, here goes! (Think I'll try to get Glenn into my party this time. ^_^)

I also wanted him, I really did. The I found out that to get him you have to
refuse to help Kid when she's infected with Hydra poison
... and I just didn't have the courage =x

... Yeah, I've got a bit of a problem with that, myself; actually feeling guilty about doing cruel things to my (as the main character) female allies when playing RPG's, other other games, for that matter.

This was especially true in the first Resident Evil (in the cases of both the PSX and Gamecube versions), where I *really* wanted to see what the ending would be like without Rebecca surviving and the mansion not blowing up because she isn't around to set up the self-destruct system. That meant I had to leave the poor little girl to the mercy of a Hunter, ... and though I finally gathered the courage to run out of the room so Rebecca could get axed, I couldn't help but cringe when, outside the door, I heard her scream and then the sound of the Hunter's vicious claw come swooping down to seal her fate. *sigh* My poor Rebecca ....

Even in Kid's case, I didn't want to refuse finding a cure for her, despite my really not liking her at all (she's not cute, and her Australian accent gets on my nerves).

... Hey, does opting to not help Kid mean that I cannot recruit Razzly from the marshes where I look for the antidote?

You know, I use to have those issues myself... to get over such troublesome feelings, I just look at the game I'm playing as if it was made from a maker. It's just events that turn ons or off switches.

I never found Razzly in the marshes =O Actually, I never even saw him.... her... it?

Damn. My CC cast is so not complete =P
But for now, I'm pretty happy with Lynx/Harle/Radius and, before, Serge/Kid/Guile.
Main reason I kept Kid and now Radius is because they play a role in the story and thus their 'random comments on events' tend to be scenario- and plot-interesting. Meh. Besides, Kid's not that bad.

Hmmm... probably gonna try to get all the characters from the Not-Save-Kid side next time. They're somewhat cooler. You get the surfer doctor, Glenn, and I believe Korcha's mom, too. And I don't know, if you don't save Kid, do you get to fight the Hydra? Because if you don't, then the dwarves later in Water Dragon Island have no reason to
destroy everything =P
.

I just talked too much. =x

Ocarina of time... 3 hearts, and 1 bottle. Always walked around in the hover boots and blue tunic, even during boss battles. I beat it once a day for a couple weeks and died more often on the stalfos on the way out than to Ganon/dorf himself. The mummy thing too (gibdo?).

I played through OoT too without ever dying. Though it that was only difficult through the the most part of Link's childhood as he has no freaking hearts when you start off.

But also, I didn't avidly look for heart pieces either.

Oh, and I ran into OoC second quest for Gamecube. It through me off for a second, but SK was with me at the time so he can vouch. You remember the second quest on the first Zelda, they did it with OoC. Which is actually very temping.

Getting quicksilver isn't anything special actually. In fact, you can't miss it. You get it in the storyline.

As for Vergil's second fight, I use Trickster. Another good stratagey is not sucking... which is the only thing that works on Dante/Vergil Must Die mode.

OoC? Is that a typo that you made twice, or are you not talking about OoT?

You know what's funny about that? I did, in fact, mean OoT. But I was reading a forum RPG at the time and had people talking "Out Of Character"...

I'm such an idiot...

::edit::

Also, I just beat Xenosaga III which marks the end of the Xeno series. And while that's not much of an accomplishment as the game wasn't THAT difficult... the last two battles, however, were.

In fact, those fights would be on the top 5 hardest battles of all time, IMHO. I'm glad that's over with...

Actually, come to think of it... All the final bosses in Xenosaga were really freakin hard.

Ah, I did that too. ^^
One of my biggest acomplishment and disspointment was getting EVERY SINGLE weapon and best ending in Vandal Hearts 2. It was a horribly long journy to get the weapon count to 100% to get a
"Congratulations: You are a weapon master! and that's it.
