Me, SK, and Kajak are playing through some RPG's on multiplayer. SK and I are playing FF4 and Kajak and I are playing 5. We've already played Secret of Mana and FF6 and will eventually play Legend of Mana (and Seiku Densetsu 3 if it's multiplayer).

Minus Cristal Chronicles and zelda 4-swords... what other RPGs are out there that have the ability to play co-op?

Tales of Symphonia for the cube, but it's just multiplayer during battles as far as I know.

This is one of my favorites for the Gamecube.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I think you can also do multiplayer during the battles in Final Fantasy IX. (I think thats a nine in roman numerals) :P

Yeah, ToS is only multiplayer during battles. Also one of my favorites.

Final Fantasy 4 - 6 is, of course, only multiplayer durring battle... but that fine. I'd be a bit pointless to make out of battle multiplayer.

Your lucky Lantis, I've never played those games yet, and I haven't had a chance to grab any of them.

Question: Which one is better, FF4 or FF6?

Little known fact, Earthbound can be played with two controllers... even out of battle it can be played with two controllers.

I bet it's pretty fun if each person controls one side of a controller.

yeah, FF4 is the same way. It's always fun to get on SK's nerve when he's trying to walk one direction and I force him to go another...

But I didn't know that... I'll have to try that sometime.

Hmm...Good to know, thanks Lantis.

@Myoky-I would prefer it with two controllers out of battle, but alas, few games support that feature.

Oh, and if your up to it Lantis, The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age for the cube is also multiplayer. I actually liked that game, most notably, the armor configurations.

The Third Age was an RPG? Heh, I guess I'm falling behind on the times...

I think Baldur's Gate is an RPG you can play co-op. Is that what you are talking about?

I think I'm thinking of more traditional turn-based RPGs like FF or active time like Secret of Mana. Baldur's Gate was very... starcraft-esque.

FFT War of the Lions for the PSP. You can play co-op or head to head. Unfortunately, it charges you quite some gil for head to head. :(

head on head FFT? Bloody hell, that's brilliant. Heh, but I can't say it's worth the price of two PSP's and two copies of Wor of the Lions.

:lol I played Secret of Mana with my brother and sister when the game came out, and we got along just fine. But on ocasions, a friend of us replaced my sister and THAT was a pain. He never wanted to go to the direction I tried to go, so for some brief moments, we were just on different edges of the screen waiting for the other to give up.

Heh, yeah... Kajak and I did that a few times when playing SoM. And it was usually Kajak despirately trying to get to a treasure chest. lmao.

In ff4, there's only one character on the map when you walk... but player 1 and 2 both have control over him (Cecil).

Secret of Mana rules...IMO the second best game ever, next to zelda.

I'm having a blast with Tales of the Abyss, and was surprised to see it's multiplayer as well. Even better, you can connect the multi-tap and do four player battles. Besides which, it's an excellent RPG. Highly recommend you pick it up.

Kajak has TotA... good to hear that it's multiplayer. In fact, I think he hasn't even finished it yet. I'll definately have to put it on the list.
