I'm really bored, so I'm gonna restart my Pokemon Diamond.

Do any of you guys restat games when you are bored?

Too often and usually before finishing another. Just a constant cycle of beginnings with no ends.

Really, I usually don't unless I'm replaying a game. I have a guy friend who consistently restarts games. It's funny.

Yes. Yes, I do. All the time. It's because I wind up only getting halfway through a game, and lose interest in the game and move to a different game. Then if I ever get back to the first game, I wind up starting over since I've likely forgotten a few things about the quest and I would be out of practice. It's very rare that I actually am able to completely beat a game. In the past year, I've only beaten 13, while I've likely attempted double that (including Dragon Quest 8, losing interest 60 hours in, and Final Fantasy XI, not sure how far in on that). The majority of my owned games have never been beaten for this very reason.

Pokemon, on the other hand, while I have often restarted those games, I don't intend to do that this time. Only reason why I'd want to start over is to use a different starter Pokemon, but the GTS makes it incredibly easy to get Pokemon you didn't choose. Beyond which, I don't want to lose my shiny Zubat.

I thought Final Fantasy XI is online which means its everlasting.

I restarted because I was bored.

I'm glad I'm the only one who dosen't restart every once in a while.

I don't ever restart a game unless I completed it already...

I don't see any reason in quitting half-way through.

Oh, I'm sorry, I meant FFXII (12). Though I have started over in FF11, by recreating my character.

For the record, I had already beat Pokemon Diamond 100%

Surely you didn't already complete both the Regional and National Pokedex. I mean, it's possible, as someone at the Pav has done so, but that's nearly 400 Pokemon to see.

It's amazing what you can do with three very active forums that want to complete the game too.

I would've posted a screenshot for my justice if I had known that you would want to see one. I already deleted my profile and have my good team already.

Including: Chimchar (never gonna evolve), Aipom, Elekid, Pidgey, and Gyrados.

(I did give someone 4 of those, so I could get them back after I restarted.)

I still need a filler. Any ideas?

Also, this game's concept of restarting were so unneseceary. I started a new game and played about 30 minutes and wanted to save. It said it was impossible to save because I already saved a game. It said to delete the other game save, I would have to go to the title screen and press ^ b and select simeutaniously. Which means I had to reset and start all over again. -_- What war the reasoning behind that?

I've done that quite a few times. Pokemon, some RPGs. I have even deleted files from fighting games, so can start unlocking characteers again.
I was even thinking of restarting my PSU characters, but I changed my mind recently.

I have the same situation as Ice, although probably not as often. But occasionally I'll restart a game if I failed to kkep up with it, just so it's "fresh" when I pick it back up again.

Oh yeah, I also restart a game if I havent played it in a while, specially RPGs. I just can keep playing a game where I'm not sure what I did with each character.

I don't restart as much as you people.
The only big game I restarted was ff7.
I had 100 hours and forgot 99 of them >.<

FF7 was a game that actually restarted on me. I never finished it.
First time, cheap memort card got corrupted before I finished 1st CD
Second time, clumsy aunt (who also played FF7) overwrote her file over MINE! (and I got to the 2nd CD too)
Thirs time, memory card got corrupted again. Lost will to play FF7. Specially after my brother, sister, aunt and neighbor managed to beat MY game before me.

I feel sorry but now I'm gonna laugh.

No, it wasnt a race, we were all just hooked with FF7. We basically fried our first Ps1, since we took turns playing it in an endless cycle.
And I WILL give it a chance. Eventually.

If you take your time, the longest the game should last is 75 hours tops. That's including the time it takes to max out your characters levels to fight Ruby and Emerald. At least last time I checked...

FF7 took me forever.

It was my first rpg and I played it when I was like 8 or 9.
Pokemon never takes me over 40 hours.

I restarted Metal Gear Solid 2 a small but respectible way into the game when I realized the skill level I was playing (which I think was beginner so I could learn the controls) was going to end up being too easy such that the rest of the game would have ended up being boring if I hadn't changed levels.
