For all Tales series discussions, as if there were any.

I my self have not played all of them, but I'm pretty sure this is all of them:

Tales of Phantasia
Tales of Destiny
Tales of Eternia
Tales of Symphonia
Tales of Rebirth
Tales of Legendia
Tales of Destiny II
Tales of the Abyss
Tales of the Tempest (not out yet)

*List updated by Kratos*

Anyway, IMHO, Symphonia was the best, if not the best RPG in all history. Kratos agrees with me. It just trumps all other RPGs. Period.

Anyway, anyone else play these games?

Chrono Trigger isn't a tales game.

EDIT: Nevermind, I thought you meant it was a tales game.

Oh, really? I couldn't tell at all with the lacking of "Tales" in the name...

I ment it was the best RPG...

Symphonia and Legendia.

Also... i'd totally agree with you in reference to Symphonia. <3 Symphonia....

it is, however, shockingly underplayed and almost unheard of over here. *shrug*

I've never played Legendia, I hesitated to buy it because it looked like such a departure from classic tales games, no more "world", your just on a giant flying island right?

mhmm... the Legacy.

Legendia is good... but, like... FAR too many fights. On the other hand, having a main character who essentially punched stuff repeatedly was kinda fun ^_^

i never played the whole game, though, it wasn't my copy >_<

Tales of Phantasia
Tales of Destiny
Tales of Eternia
Tales of Symphonia
Tales of Rebirth
Tales of Legendia
Tales of Destiny II
Tales of the Abyss
Tales of the Tempest(not out yet)

Symphonia is the best in the series and my #1 RPG of all-time. Tales of the Abyss is my second favorite Tales game but it's not on my top 5 RPGs, but it's close. I have also played Phantasia and Eternia, but have never gotten the chance to play the others.

I like Phantasia, fo anyone who never played it I'd recomend picking it up for the GBA if you have a GBA. It's a pretty decent port and if you like the other tales games it's really good.

I've never played Eternia because it's never been been released in the US, and that damn PSP port of it is out in Europe but not america.

OMG, because each and every single other Tales game with the exceptions of Phantasia and Symphonia were US release only and never got a European release. >_>

i honestly don't know what cause you have to complain XD

(Phantasia i have in fact also played? My little brother has it. Its... well, its ok. But nothing in comparison to Symphonia.)

incidentally, noone i know plays the PSP over here. Possibly because we see through its shiny exterior to the shoddy sonyness within. *shrug*

I'm sorry if I offended you, all I meant was it would be nice if it would come over here. In that same way I wish all the other tales games over you would go over to europe. I don't like the whole "Well you got those tales games so it's only fair that we only get this tales game." Every region should get every game. Unless it sucks, then it can stay in Japan.

LOL... dude, you didn't offend me ^_^

i'm too flippant is all.

>_< sorry if i made you think that. i totally agree, it'd be pretty damn nice if most of the other tales games had sold enough to get over my side of the water.

no worries ^_^

I could just buy the UK version of tales of eternia on eBay. And I might do that.

I've only played Symphonia. And like the majority of my games, I lost interest some ways in. Can't even remember where I left off. I know I reached some mountain that I couldn't pass because I needed some artifact or something after taking the first boat ride, but I don't know if I got furthur than that.

The actual game doesn't even start till after you reach the Tower of Salvation in Sylvarant.

Up until that point in the game I liked it, but wasn't too crazy about it, but after the events at the tower, I was completely blown away. The storytelling from that point on is just completely amazing.

... BQ's still a little girl not yet out of high school, man.

Trust me, *all* the rest of us had the time to play all the video games we wanted and as much as we wanted before we stepped out into the world beyond that point and became what we laughingly refer to as "adults."

Speaking of Tales of Symphonia, I just couldn't get into that one. I probably should have given it more of a chance than just playing through the first few hours of the game before giving it up, but, as I said above, sometimes there just doesn't seem to be enough time to do otherwise.
