I love FFX. I don't love avoiding 200 lightning bolts in a row just to get a final item. Did somebody say...Gameshark?

I big offender to video game bull is Mario Party 2, or any one for that matter. You can be in the lead, and then one moment later, you are completely screwed over by one chance time. Not fun. I'm considering selling it, it's that bad. Plus the fact the computer gets really cheap and you are teamed up against three others. Stupid.

And Wild Arms 4 seems to have monsters can can easily kill your characters in one hit. I don't power level, but getting killed by one basic hit is annoying, and there's no 'easy' way to fix it either. You just have to take your licks.

Are you sure that you aren't the one with the problem? :P

So is your mom phobic, or just worried that you to might be "one of those"? :)

Odin Sphere...

I've tried my best to keep an open mind about it... but that mother f*cking game is hard. WAY too hard. I mean, I managed... but it's just not worth the bull you put up with. I spend HOURS looking for ingrediants to raise my HP and still the bosses in Armageddon would rape you real quick.

The worst part? I had the difficulty of the game on EASY. I like the story, the characters, the graphics... all of it's really well done. But I will not be playing this game again.

That is really a shame. It looked so good. I haven't played it, but I believe you. In a way that adds to the bull not only because the game is unneccesarily hard (which would be bull because you already bought it and are playing it), but also because it ruins what would otherwise be an excellent (elite?) gaming experience (which adds to the bull of it because of how unneccessary it is to be that hard on easy).

See, I never understood the fear of making "Easy" EASY! Halo did it, Metal Gear Solid II did it. But Metroid Prime did not give you a choice of levels to start the game and this game (Odin Sphere) apparently makes "Easy" difficult to play. I think Halo and Metal Gear Solid II are everybit as elite as Metroid Prime, but I actully respect them more because they allowed gamers to embrace the experience from their own level.

Well, I could have taken extra time and tried to level up all 5 characters alot more (they all come back into play in the final book)... but that would have taken hours of repetitive fighting that would just make the game way too redundant.

And it wasn't the "OMG, I can't believe I won... that was awesome!" when I won... it was the "Holy sh*t, I'm never putting myself thought that ever again!"

Just youtube some boss fights or something.

Zero's missions in GTA: San Andreas.

It's okay, they're the most annoying video game task EVER, but they're optional. What sucks is that 'Z' sign hanging over your map... as if I wanted to go back there.

God, how could I have forgotten. All the FIFA games:

You are on defense agains the AI, you try to switch players to one who is closer to the opponent player with the ball by aiming the controller and pressing the switch button, but you are only allowed to switch between other 'nearby' players who will do you no good until the opponent is basically in line with or past you, THEN you are allowed to switch to the one that you wanted to and the opponent has by now taken off.

I got a little sick of having to
go through that temple like five times
in Phantom Hourglass.

Or in Suikoden 2
Nanami dies by being shot by ONE arrow? Lame.
In Alex Kid and the Enchanted Castle fighting bosses entailed no more than playing rock paper scissors with them.
In Monster Hunter, Online Event Missions usually gave you one life for the entire group. If one guy screwed up you all fail. And thats not hard to imagine when things like the Kirin can do about 3/4 of your life and have no problem hitting consecutively.
In World of Warcaft, many Elite monsters will chase you as long as it takes to make you dead. The cost of innocent exploration is usually death.

In Silent Hill 4, cool as the infestations may have been, the one over your storage trunk/chest/whatever that happens by storing Walter's doll in it is mondo annoying. Walter never passes up an opportunnity to be a complete dick.

And in Silent Hill 2, at the end of the hospital
when Maria is following you, and you get into that long hallway, and Pyramid Head starts chasing you. The only way to do it is to book it down the hallway and leave whats-her-face behind. I had Game Over like 5 times trying to backpedal and shoot PH to keep him from attacking her, only to have her wander in my way and get shot in the face.
God of war, when fighting Gorgons, if you jump, and they petrify you, you die instantly.
