All I can say is awesome. The game's visuals are close to FFIII on the DS, to provide a base without real ingame screenshots.

I'm overly excited about this and hope for 3D remakes of V and VI as well.

I've seen magazine scans over at the Pavilion. The graphics do look somewhat like FFIII DS. The characters aren't quite as deformed, but they're still not realistic. My biggest worry, of course, is the challenge. I want FF4 Hard Type.

A not-as-important worry is how the enemies line up. Are they in a neat row like in FF3DS, or will they be all in formations like they were in every other game? Kinda looks funny the way FF3DS did it.

At the same time, if FF4DS's music is anything like in the trailer, my ears are going to be in for a real treat. Especially if they do a good job with the boss theme and Zeromus's theme.

Meh, another FF remake. Whoopie. I'd rather they spend time making new stuff. But w/e.

They do make new stuff. I'm more tired that they keep going back and re-releasing or re-making their games. Although it was okay for FF Origins (we never got FFII), and for FFIII DS (we never got FFIII). I find it okay for FF4, because they're doing more than a basic port. But I'd rather they hurry up and remake FF7. It's way overdue for one.

Wake me up when it's the FFVI DS trailer.

*avoids garbage barrage*

I haven't played FFIV. I want to, but no time.

Hahah. Tis fine.

My order for love of FFIV-VI goes like this. FFVI>FFV>FFIV. Right in order. Haha. I'm craving the FFVI remake as well.

Wow... has it really been 20 years? Granted, I was 4 when the first Final Fantasy came out, but still...

Heh, what's worse is just a few years ago, I went back and beat all the FF's I didn't, the last of which being FF III (not FF VI).

Anyway, I will always embrace a remake of the older ones. Nothing says 'memory lane' like an old classic 2D rpg.

I'd say it goes FFVI > FFIV > FFV. V's story was just bleh. I just replayed IV awhile ago for fun and it still is great. It's one of the first FF's I really liked.

Unless I'm horribly mistaken, since when does FFV have a multiplayer?

Oh, it is... trust me. Me and SK played through IV, V, and VI on multiplayer. If I'm not mistaken, there was one more that was multiplayer as well.

You can access it by going into the configuration and setting which controller controls which character in battle. It's quite fun actually because you end up talking to eachother about what strat to use.

FF2 on Origins was way harder, it made it more fun.

I would agree with you on the difficulty of FF2 given you didn't ever use any of the Blood Swords in the game...

I'd say they were both harder. FF1 you didn't amass a ton of MP, FF2 you could "level down".
