Created by a random somebody in Taiwan (my vote is for escaped mental patient), this Mario mod is like a sick work of art. Granted, I would most likely give up after about one minute, but the sadomasochist inside of me wants to play it to death until I complete it. I mean, seriously, beating this would give you the ultimate video game bragging rights. I don’t even think Lucas would stand a chance.

Some of my favorite parts:

* -The pipe that leads to sudden death. That just isn’t cool.
* -The hidden coin blocks that just so happen to be in the “perfectâ€

I was so happy when I saw the little plumber finally reach the castle. He could be safe and get some much needed rest there. But then little Mario found a tunnel behind the castle and proceeded into the depths of his most hellish nightmares, from which he could not wake. I couldn't bare to watch the hurt. So I abandoned little Mario. And to this day I still wonder what happenned to him. Did he finally overcome his demons? Did he finnally end the pain? I just wish I could have been with him. Could have been stronger. But I was weak. And I left him for dead.

... And I thought the Cave of Trials from Star Ocean 2 was a dangerous place, .... but that's got nothing on this hellish side-scroller.

Mario must have really been sick of plummeting to his death in an endless black abyss by the time he got through with that level.

This was worth many rofls, especially when he found a new inviso-block to knock himself into the abyss. But the constant plummets at the start of 1-2 got pretty boring. The mistake halfway into the second level (with the goombas) had to be as irritating as everything else, since it was more a player error.

I hope there's a sequel. I wanna see 1-3 and 1-4. Especially 1-4. I can't imagine how many fire bars there'd be there. Bowser I'm sure would be waltzing on air and throwing hammers.

Someone used slowdowns and savestates to run through it flawlessly, but I promise you it's harder. You start off on your last life... there's a 1up you HAVE to get because you have no choise but to die once.

There are mushroom, that if you miss... you will die. And you have to exploit glitches to even get through the game.

The reason, I think, it's called air is because the only advantage you have in this hack is the fact you can jump as many times in the air as you want.

Yeah, I've seen that one before. I didn't even know half those glitches existed. I'm curious how the jumping in midair glitch works.

It was just an added hack. I will say though, the traps in the first one was alot funnier.

That really seems not to be the hardest hack since its beatable. Savestates or not he beat it.

In the first one, you have infinate lives. In this one... you can't die at all. I have this hack version in rom format. And you will die more often than the first video.

If you notice the video I posted... it took over 5000 tries for him to get that video right. Personally, that doesn't seem all to easy to me.

5000 tries or not he beat that hack. The first one even if you do have infinite amount of lives no one has beaten it to this date.

Probably because no one has used savestates and slowdowns...
