For those of you who played the first, I hear that this one will be everything the previous was... and alot more.

Hmm, fan here. I've just never completed it. But it is one heck of a good game. Epic feel to it. Seeing that crawling titan on the desert is pure w00tness.

I'll buy this good game, the first well I simply loved it. All the simple puzzles that turned out to be hard. The Hell gaunlet.

The words: Blades of Chaos...

But yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing what happens. I've heard that Kratos [spoiler]gets stripped of his Godly status... for whatever reason[/spoiler] but I guess we'll find out.

I for one can't wait. I put my 5 bucks down at gamestop and got the demo. It was a bit easy and short but the video treasures were really cool! After playing through the first the second is a definite buy.

It just didn't seem to flow with the gore of slaughtering so many creatures... as a cow.

Looks like he gets a new set of moves/combos. As well as some new/old spells such as the some kind of gauntlets to familiars like the powers frome Zeus.

5 days till it's due out... hope I can finish SF2 before then.

I reserved a copy at gamestop and went to pick it up this morning and they said,
"I'm sorry, we haven't received any shippments yet."

WTF Now I have to wait until the weekend before I can go get my copy.

I got my copy... I didn't play it last night though. I was trying to finish up SF2. Which didn't going according to plan. Stupid Galam...

It should've been made for PS3, IMO.

K, I've played a good ways into the game. And so far, it's everything the frist was and more. They even took out the only cons I had for the past game minus one or two details... which are:

No levels. Everything is one fluent game... Which honestly is good for the game. But it means you can't do any optional orb raising.... which is the problem I have with it. But that hardly even a problem as the difficulty on normal hasn't really been much of a challenge. I can see how it WILL be an issue when playing God Mode.

The other has to do with God Mode... or any other time you start a new game. You lose everything you once had. I mean, I can see why they do it, but I like it better being able to carry over your gear from game to game. Like in Devil May Cry, I will play through hard mode a few times to prepare myself for Dante Must Die... You don't get any prep time, which actually takes away from the amount of game hours you will put into the game in the long run. That... and it's just really freakin difficult. ^_^

(spoilers safe to read if you've gotten about an hour into the game)

The story is a little complex, which isn't a bad thing. Apparently [spoiler]ther are Gods of Olympus and a totally diffrent set of Gods of Earth... The head of which is Gaia. After Zeus betrays and kills Kratos, Gaia revives him and sends him on a quest to change his fate.[/spoiler]

But anyway, I'm looking forward to how it plays out.

Oh, and Kratos has a plethora of new moves, which allow for some very interesting combos. Of course you can [spoiler]only play around with these moves around the begining of the game before Kratos drains his powers into the sword of Artemis.[/spoiler]

And... the insta-kill moves you've got are as much eye-candy as the first... if not more.

I rented this game on saturday around 8pm and well have I got a story for you. This game is much better than the first, not only by the visuals and cutscenes. The puzzles were easy but challenging, the combat system didn't get repetitive at all. I won't beat the game in Titan, the level god was enough. By far the most challenging game experience, other than devil may cry 3, I've ever had. 20 hrs and I loved every minute of it. It was a good rental.

No offense, but I would never pay full price for this game.
I rented it 3 days ago, already beat it twice, am stuck on Perseus on Titan mode (impossible) and got to the seventh challenge(super impossible).
It's better than the first one, and it's a great game and everything, but it's too freaking short to be worth the 50$.

Its not actually short if you didn't rush through like I did.

I took my time on it, I spend a week and a half at least just on my first time through.

I think that the second gave you a little bit more control over your combos this time... minues the L1 moves. It doesn't feel like you can really control your moves when one button press lands you a 20 hit combo.

[spoiler]I switches with the lance alot and use the Icarus wings quite a bit. Great for getting enemies up in the air...[/spoiler]
