Wild Arms was released in '96 so it is the older of the two.

... Is it really? I guess that explains why the graphics of Wild Arms, at least during battles, had seemed slightly inferior to those of Final Fantasy VII's.

One of my favorite series. I own every single game, WA, WA2, WA3, Alter Code, and WA4. Personally I liked 2 the best, but 1 comes in a very very close second. Alter Code could of really benefited from some voice acting, it would of helped that game out quite a bit. My least favorite is probably WA3, I didn't like the story as much as the others, and the battle system turned me off. WA4 was ok, the battle system was fun though. WA2 has the best story, but WA has better characters. At least IMO.

Wild Arms is one of my favorite games ^^

I have WA2, WA3, WA4, as for WA5 i haven't got it yet since it's still on Japaneese. But i didn't have the chance to get the first WA cuz i was still at kindergarten if it was released on '96.

But, although i do hate that "you have to find the city and dungeon system".You know where the towns don't appear in the map until you use the wave-thingy which was rather unpleasant. But other than that the game was fine ^^

In my totally honest and amazingly superior opinion, Wild Arms is the greatest RPG series to date. Personally WA 3 is my favorite because it has an amazing story, great music, and it's looooooooong. WA 2 would be second with I guess ACF and 1 tied. WA 4 is pretty icky. It seems like the series may be crossing over to the dark side of RPGs. Voice-Overs! FMVs! Disgusting! I give it a 7. That aside, and 1 aside, the thing I appreciate the most about the Wild Arms series is the story. The plots of each of these games (less so in 1) are very unique and imaginative, not the typical, "save the world from the bad guy who killed your parents, but it turns out he IS your parents" crap. They're good games I highly recommend them. At gunpoint.

On a side-note Lilka is pretty hot, and probably worth the 7 to 15 years.

As much as I like the series, it is far from the greatest RPG series to date. I can think of plenty games that are better. WA series is good, just not great. Kind of surprised you didn't like WA4. It was a pretty good game, the only real gripe I have with it is the wierd split screen storyboard thing they did.

Well, I do like The WA series too, but I don't think is the greatest series. That title goes to Suikoden in my opinion :D
Anyway, so there's WA5 already in Japan? Interesting. I'll have to play WA4... I think I haven't played it bwecause it seems to be a futuristic (compared to the others) and that kinda dissapointed me. I'll have to give it a chance tho.
