2 different genre's Megaman series has atleast 30 or 40 different megaman games. Just repetitive.

Well anyway. FF can beat megaman.

I have to agree with Duelpro that Final Fantasy is just a bit better than the MegaMan series as a whole, but .... MegaMan is still always going to be the most classic gaming hero of all time, even above Mario or Link. It doesn't matter how repetive most of the games in the MegaMan series are; they are always fun to play (with the exception of MegaMan X7; UGGHHHHH!!!) In fact, there are maybe just three or four I can think of out of all maybe sixty games total in the MegaMan franchise that actually suck.

Nevertheless, my vote is for Final Fantasy, even though I haven't played III, XI, or XII.

FF VII, IX, and Tactics are by far the three best.

If you mean Megaman as in the NES Megaman (MM1) vs Final Fantasy 7... then hands down it's FF7. No questions asked.

But if you mean the Megaman series vs the Final Fantasy Series, it would be a bit of a closer race. Not TOO terribly close, mind you... but closer than MM1 vs FF7.

And the only 'repetitious' thing in Megaman is not really even repetitious. Every level in ever game is diffrent and has some theme to it. Every boss is diffrent and requires alot of stratagey. Every weapon you get is diffrent and can be used in diffrent places. And even the characters have changed.

I find the Zero series awesome. Megaman Zero 1-4 were kick ass games.

But still. Final Fantasy has always stayed close to my heart. *fakes wiping away a tear* I've played every FF except Mystic Quest, the two 'legends' titles for GB and FF XI (becuase I am not an MMO fan).

I've just recently got FFXII, and I'm really anticipating going through it. But yeah, FF for the win. Sorry, Rockman Dash...

mega man, especially 2 & 3, beat all FFs

But of course a lot of people will say FF is better. It has a deep story with very good rpg elements. But Megaman is one of the kings of old school gaming. You need to give him props on how a simple control scheme with creative 2d levels can turn into a very popuar games. Each series has their own feature(s) that makes the game shine. So maybe FF can beat megaman but megaman still deserves credit right?

It's hard to believe MegaMan could actually make such a good RPG (or adventure game, whichever you'd want to call it in this case).

Sadly I have never played Megaman, *gets shot*, so I will have to go with FF7.

I already voted MegaMan, but though i would say what I voted for... I just like the variety of bosses.
