Picked up my new PS5 on Friday and started working with Dreams (PS4). I'm making my way through the tutorials and how-to videos.

It's still unclear exactly how large of a game can be made with this software; something like a Gig, I think. I have no idea what that translates to as far as game size, but most of the projects I've tried out so far were fairly short.

What I'd really like is to see a game that pushes the limits so I know what I can expect.

In any case, I'll be sad if I cannot make the game I hope to, but I'm sure I'll come up with something interesting.

By the way, I picked up a few 4K movies and I've tried to compare their quality with that of a normal Blu-Ray. Here's the results:

VIEWED ON 65inch UHD 4K(LED) TV

1) Bram Stoker's Dracula = 4K seemed worse.
2) Wonder Woman 1984 = 4K better, but Blu-Ray had some weird flashing issue that doesn't present itself in 4K, so it's difficult to really judge.
3) Lord of the Rings = Seems the same with HDR turned on. However, if HDR is turned off, colors aren't as bright/saturated, but the edges seem sharper.

I tested both simultaneously, Blu-Ray on one TV input and 4K on the other, switching back and forth comparing the same individual shots and full scenes.

Overall, buying a Blu-Ray seems to be the more economical solution and you're not going to lose any noticeable quality.

DVD < Blu-Ray <=> 4K

Lastly, I ordered a Super Console X and allegedly it's arriving Thursday, after more than 45 days in transit from China. I've been looking forward to receiving it, as it's a emulation beast with supposedly 50,000 preloaded games.

The first game I intend to play is the TG-16 Wonder Boy III clone, Dragon's Curse (also called "Adventure Island", as if that's not confusing!). I remember playing it once for about 5 minutes on a TurboExpress at a local game store back in the 90's. It's always been a curiosity of mine to complete it and compare the differences. I do plan to record the results, look forward to that.
