Who all else is getting this today?

Got to play it at a Best Buy demo event last year and was thoroughly impressed and just now read about the best feature they put in: Gamepad and Classic Pro controller support, meaning no forced motion controls!

I also saw it at the Best Buy Event last year in Kentucky. Really fun stuff. We didn't choose that as our game to play, but I watched some other people do it.

Really, I jumped on this one much faster because there was an option for no motion controls. I realize a ton of people didn't mind that in the first DKCR, but I do feel that offering both options was the best way to go. I plan on playing probably the majority of the game on my gamepad since I've been using it as a huge 3DS for my Wii U pretty much... whenever possible.

Truth be told, I am also super pumped because David Wise is back and the OST sounds amazing as well.

My package from Amazon came today, so I'm going to be playing it some before I go to bed. I expect to be pretty pleasantly surprised.

Played through the first world last night and it definitely fixes a lot of nitpicky things I had about the first one so far.

And as for that first boss... the days of ones like Very Gnawtty are over! That guy was no pushover!

So, is this game worth picking? I haven't played a DK game after the SNES games... (and I rental of the N64) but it catches my attention.

From what I've played, I would say get it. Wii U really doesn't have much, and this is a pretty fun title.

WiiRikeToPray is doing a blind LP of it as well if you want to see more of it in action before deciding to buy it or not.
