Yes, I have a sister. And last weekend, she came over to play some Mario Kart. At first we weren't going to record anything (especially since she knows almost nothing about let's playing), but after my crushing defeat in the Mushroom Cup, I convinced her to let me record our session for Youtube. So here's some videos, starting with the Shell Cup. I'll be uploading them all randomly over the coming weeks.

Seconding my YT comment here. I can totally see my little sister being the same way about LPs. I need to post that I actually do them on FB, but I dunno if she'd even bother haha. If I go home this summer(thinking of a plane since it is now a 7.5 hour drive), then maybe I will try to record some gameplay with her, haha. Mainly we used to play Tekken Tag Tournament and Mario Party a lot when we were younger.

I think Dray threw the first races to talk his sister into recording so he could dominate her on camera.

Sister is a good sport.

More that we were actually on equal ground on this one. I'm a master at Double Dash, so she stood no chance at beating me on that. But Mario Kart Wii, I only played enough of to get all the gold trophies. The game simply didn't have the same appeal to me. Plus, we were both on Automatic, which translates to "you can't do power slides". (What the heck is "automatic" about that?)

Us through the Banana cup has been uploaded. And there are plenty of bananas to be had.

Here comes the Flower Cup, where me and my sister pretty much finish neck and neck in each of the races. Whose neck is longer? Watch and see.

As we head into the Star Cup, Mario Kart Wii has decided that it doesn't like my sister.

And you wonder why I have a problem with items...

Most of the items aren't bad. The blooper's annoying because it happens way too much, and your point about the blue shell being unbalanced is true. Otherwise, like my sister said before, it wouldn't be Mario Kart without the items.

Maybe eventually they'll do like Smash Bros. and give the option to enable/disable certain items.
