The controller is called the "Wii U Gamepad".

It has an NFC Reader/Writer on the controller.

The Wii U GamePad can control your TV, too!

You can stream ANY game to the GamePad! No delay! Damn!

They are offering the Wii U Pro Controller for longer, different games.

Built-in forums for the gamepad and you can post and stuff. Wow.

It has videochat on it, too. Damn.

You can take screenshots of the game from your pad and send them to other people.
Showing Wii U network stuff. The Miiverse is displayed first when activating the console. You can see games other people are playing that maybe you don't even know.

Nintendo's done got serious about their next console. It's already bought.

Nintendo is taking over the internet!

Things that they didn't mention that were of major importance to me:

Friend codes. Is that still a thing? I hope not.
Parties or other ways to VOIP with said friends.
Online multiplayer support with VC titles (the only reason I'd actually pay for a rom).
Actually... just anything related to online at all.
