I'm not as madly in love with it as the average RPG nut, but you have to admit it's quite evocative. Not my favorite piece from the game (that's Aeris's theme), but definitely my preferred of the boss tunes. Especially if the Ehrgeiz version is the one from FF7 as well (it's been so long, I can't recall).

Ok, time to discuss:

Picking an FF6 piece must have been hard, especially when you have songs like The Fierce Battle (Which only played like 4 times in the entire game sadly) and Dancing Mad... But the regular boss music is good too.

You probably knew I would like the Lufia 2 choice; I honestly listened to the entire thing twice, and then went and listened to the regular boss music before I finished the list. But yeah, choosing between the regular boss music and the sinistral theme is sometimes hard for me too, especially lately where every time I listen to the normal boss music I start to like it a little more.

The DS version of the Sinistral battle is good too As well as the arranged version.

Also, the Earthbound song is called "Pokey/Porky Means Business".

In all the OSTs I have, it's been called "The Battle of Final Destiny". I'm confused as to why it would be called what you claim when Giygas is the center of attention.

Because the part of the battle it plays in mainly is the part where you are fighting Pokey in his Devil Machine. Giygas' theme is just the random noises that scare the crap out of people later.

True, but I also have it listed as Final Destiny.

You'll notice that near the end of the list, the songs go as follows:

Pokey Means Business!
Giygas' Intro
Giygas Stirs
Giygas' Intimidation
Prayer for Safety
Giygas is Wounded!
Giygas is Fatally Wounded!
Giygas Disintegrates

Pokey Means Business! is the song that you posted, the 7 other songs consist mainly of sound effects and ambient noise, and make up the songs played during different stages of the Giygas battle. Once you defeat Pokey, Pokey Means Business! stops playing, and the songs then go down the list as you start fighting only Giygas. Also, "The Battle of Final Destiny" is nowhere on the soundtrack.

I think Myoky wins this one guys. And I find you over all choices... interesting to say the least, Ix. Though I can agree with a good half of your top 10 (which I'm guess is more than you thought I [or anyone else for that matter] would). Specially DKC. That was my very first SNES game I played. And I remember the the first time I fought K. Rule on that ship. Epic times.

I heard that a few years ago, someone on another forum set some video of him playing Smash Brothers Melee to it. Video was stupid, song was good enough that I tried to listen to more from the guy, but was stymied by the relative lack of English on his website.

I see your rock remix and raise you a cover by Kurikinton Fox.

I believe my face is melting, might I borrow something to catch it in?
