The one from Resident Evil 2 I knew of, but I don't remember ever actually trying it.

Yeah, it sounds like the same situation as the one where Nintendo Power held a contest for someone to have a walk-in role in The Mask 2. (No, not Son of The Mask.)

Anyway, I only knew of the Goldeneye one.

Pretty much. I'd often enable paintball mode just to see how well I could draw on it with a sniper rifle.
