I was bored so I came up with a list of video game songs that get me excited and basically make me want to do things as quickly and badass-ly as possible, and decided I would post them here. Feel free to comment on my choices:

10: Final Fantasy Mystic Quest - Battle 3/Dark King

Shame on you if you've never played Final Fantasy Mystic Quest. It is an excellent game and has extremely good music, and Nobuo Uematsu didn't even have anything to do with it.

9. Shadow of the Colossus - In Awe of the Power

The only none-SNES song on the list haha. It is epic though.

8. Kirby Superstar - Halberd Warship

Alot of Kirby themes are really intense, but this song sticks out to me as being the most exciting and blood pumping.

7. Secret of Mana - Meridian Dance

Honestly, when I beat Secret of Mana, I didn't expect a song like this as the last boss music, but it did get me pumped up for the 30 minute battle since I hadn't leveled my magic up at all throughout the game.

6. Earthbound - Pokey Means Business

If you've never played Earthbound before, you may wonder why this song is on the list, well you will find out at approximately 54 seconds in, and then again at 1:28 and then again at 2:13.

5. Final Fantasy VI - Dancing Mad Part 4

The first 3 parts of the song aren't really "blood pumping" but I think this part definitely is. Up until about 2 minutes in. But hey, who lets the battle last that long anyway?

4. Final Fantasy V - Clash on the Big Bridge

One of the most epic songs out there, and it comes from a Final Fantasy game that I don't believe many people have played or have any interest in playing. I think it would have worked as a good final battle theme.

3. Final Fantasy VI - The Fierce Battle

Amazing. This song definitely should have played in more places other than just the Atma Weapon battle and the few battles in the last dungeon. Though it does fit those battles.

2. Lufia II - For the Savior

Even I'm surprised this isn't my number 1 lol. It's still awesome though, and it makes the final few minutes of Lufia II more badass than they already were.

1. Megaman X - Boomer Kuwanger

There is nothing I can say about this song other than the fact that I sometimes play Megaman X just to play this level and hear this music.

I totally agree with the Gligamesh battle theme from FFV and Lufia's "For the Savior".

... Even the Dancing Mad song from FFVI I must agree on, so at least it's one good thing I can say about Kefka. ^_^

Clash on the Big Bridge is one of my favorite FF tracks of all time. As such I must now link to other versions of the song to justify my opinioni:

FF Dissidia

Kurinkinton Fox

Anyway, I dug the list. Some real good stuff in there. The Shadow of the Colossus reminded me about The Last Guardian coming out pretty soon, which I'm looking forward to. Also, whenever I saw Megaman X on your number 1 spot, I was so expecting it to be Spark Mandrills theme... but it wasn't, and I was like =/

I'm not a big fan of spark mandrill. I think armored armadillo and boomer kuwanger are batter.

Our definitions of "blood pumping" seem to be quite different. Though, those are still some good tracks.

@Lantis,

Screw you and your love of Spark Mandrill. Even if it is great.

@Facts,

This is a mighty solid list. I hadn't heard the SotC song nor the SoM song. I haven't played those games. Also, Boomer Kuwanger for the win. And the Earthbound song, I have it does as "The Ultimate Battle of Destiny" in my OST.

Mystic Quest. Ugh.

Good list all in all though. RPGs do have a lot of the best music in gaming history. And I also have the Earthbound song's name as being named something different, for whatever reason. It's one of my favorites as well.
