The newest Mario & Luigi game comes out on the 14 of this month for all those that care.

I'm hoping that the game will be better than the second which sucked compared to the first.

The game's main antagonist is Fawful, so I'm sure it will be great and full hilarious dialogue like the previous two games. During the course of the game, you will be able to play as Bowser, seeing as how one of the main points of the game is Mario and Luigi being eaten by him.

Ah, Fawful. What would we do without your witty Engrish? Wait, I thought he was out of Fury in Mario & Luigi 2. How'd he get it back?

He also said that he would have revenge in M&L2

Well, Mario & Luigi 2 left a bad taste in my mouth. To date, it's only the second new (as in, not remade) Mario game I didn't think was worth keeping.

Yeah, I played through the first and second and thought they were pretty good... the first was better than the second, but I'm pretty sure the big N knows and hopefully have made the changes to make this freaking pimp.

The game got a 9.5 from IGN, and they even said that it was more enjoyable than the original.

I am now the proud owner of this game...and Scribblenauts.

Commentary tonight at 11.

EDIT: Played for 45 minutes. This is officially better than Partners in Time. Stunning visuals, a cohesive storyline, and a well-balanced battle system. This is A MUST HAVE. If you don't have a DS or this game, may God have mercy on your soul. :tup

Even Untamed Madness was good for the first couple hours.

Gah, I don't like mascots at all.

It's because of you people who keep buying these games that they exist. It's all your fault.
And don't say you buy them because the games are good, the games could be just as good without plump men in mustaches.

(Stone me to death now)

I'll be starting it soon. I've been Scriblenauting it up... also I'm trying to finish up Tales of the Abyss. I'm sure I'll be able to finish it before the weeks over though, so hopefully I won't be too far behind you.

Being serious, with a wink? I'm seriously not sure whether I should argue your point or just ignore it.

I've progressed a little further in the game.

I've noticed with the boss encounters, each battle will end a bit sooner if I rely upon either Bowser's or the Mario Bros' special attack(s). However, using one's regular attack can do a sizeable amount of damage as well. It all depends on the player, really.

I've also been progressing through the game at a much slower pace, because I've been bulking up my characters. The interesting thing to note is
the higher your level is, you then get promoted to a certain rank (Mario and Luigi have five ranks to achieve; Bowser, only three), and the reward for achieving that rank is that you can equip more gear on your person. At the start of the game, Mario and Luigi can only wear one piece of clothing. They can now wear three. Bowser can only wear two pieces, and I'm still not sure of the level gaps between each rank.

The enemies within the game are a bit of a challenge. After adjusting and seeing their various poses before they attack, it's much easier to decide what each player can do to defend. Like I stated earlier, this is a very great game, and I am enjoying it loads more than Partners.

I want to say more, but I want you guys to experience the game for yourself. No need to spoil the entire thing, you know?

They aren't? Granted, the original Mario RPG (Legend of the 7 Stars) is way better than M&L 1-3, but they are still pushing the genre. Mixing platforming and RPG has worked well enough for it. And it really makes for some of the best puzzle solving elements you'll find in a RPG. Yeah, the story is a complete joke, but then again, that's not the focus of the series. It took Legend of the 7 Stars' battle system and really just went above and beyond with it. It makes things MUCH more intersting instead of just tapping X until it dies.

So in short, it's not the best... but it's hardly anything to scoff at. If you'd like to go into a bit more detail as to why these are as horrible as you say, I'm all ears.

Anyways, I'm only a couple of hours into M&L3 and I'm rather intersted in it. I already find it better than the M&L2... but not so sure about better thand M&L1.
