It even allows you to combine games like it did on the Genesis! If you purchased them for xbla as well of course.

You mean they won't just sell Sonic 3 & Knuckles? That's kind of gay, but I'll probably still get it.

But how do you "combine" it with Sonic 3? It's not like there are carts that attach to each other anymore (also, this works with Sonic 2 as well... so you can play through with Knuckles).

Well, they managed to combine the "carts" in the Sonic Mega Collections.

Yeah, but you didn't take the Sonic 3 game and do anything to combine it with Sonic & Knuckles... it was just already Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Maybe it'll be automatic. Like once you have Sonic & Knuckles, it'll automatically be detected when you play Sonic 1-3.

My guess is you boot up S&K and it will have, in the emulator menu, an option to combine carts. Then it will check what you have or ask then check. Then it would load up the game. Otherwise, they would have to update the Sonic1 & Sonic2 games which costs thousands for a company to do, just in fees to MS.
