Set to release September 23 2009.

I can't wait! It looks amazing so far. This game is said to have over three million weapons!!!! WTF?! Granted that includes all the variants and colors and all that but still...

Borderlands sends up to four co-op players to the harsh frontier planet Pandora in search of a mysterious Alien Vault. Featuring unique First Person Roleplaying Shooter gameplay, you'll customize your character as you explore and battle enemies in frantic FPS combat.

And what would a Roleplaying Shooter be without loot? Borderlands' groundbreaking content generation system creates a near-endless variety of weapons and items to customize your character! Players can join and leave other players' games at any time, or choose to face the challenges of Borderlands alone. All these features combine with a deep, rich fiction and a bold art style to create a breathtaking experience that challenges the conventions of modern shooters...

Borderlands is built from the ground up to be an exciting, intuitive co-operative experience for up to four players simultaneously that rewards players who work together and invest in co-op skills. Split screen is also supported.

In this Roleplaying Shooter, choose one of four distinct characters, each with their own individual skill sets. As your character grows throughout this fast-paced FPS, you choose and customize your abilities to suit your style of play!

The distinctive art style combines traditional rendering techniques with hand-drawn textures to paint a bold and eye-catching spin on the FPS genre.

Jump behind the wheel and engage in high-speed vehicle-to-vehicle combat, complete with spectacular explosions and road-killed Skags!

Search the wasteland planet of Pandora for the legendary Alien Vault. Fight your way through bandits, discover nine native (and aggressive) creatures, and help the few settlers on the planet in your search for a Vault rumored to contain a great prize - if it even exists!
Choose from literally hundreds of thousands of weapons, each with their own manufacturers, specifications, and advantages. The revolutionary content generation system guarantees that you'll find almost infinite tools of destruction to suit your play style.

Yup, game looks good,
I do believe this was originally supposed to be a PS2 release,
but it got scratched some odd years ago,
I could be wrong though :p
either way, it's looking impressive!

Isn't Fallout 3 the first FPS RPG?

But other than that, it looks pretty good. But only with friends. I don't see myself playing this one alone.

I'm not a fan of shooters (except for Goldeneye, w00t), but the roleplaying aspects caught my attention

Fallout 3 is less FPS RPG and more FPS with numbers, I think.

Cooperative games always get my vote. They are an absolute blast.

And thank god for SPLIT SCREEN. Too many games today are online only multiplayer (coughconduitcough).

OMG I love this game!

So amazing. This is waaay better than Fallout3 imo. More shooter but the rpg elements are perfectly done. The weapons are amazing and there really seem to be an infinite stream of "oh wow this gun is bad ass!" which really adds to the experience as a whole. I am about halfway through the game if you count just story missions and more like a third otherwise.

I am a Hunter class (rogue, sniper) and have an eagle that attacks enemies. Each class has a different perk.

Multiplayer is extremely well done. There is even pvp stuff in there. You can really enjoy the game singleplayer just like a Halo campaign.

Just a great great game. Buy it, kindly.

So, I have 1000/1000. But now, there are more achievements to get. Yea!!!

New DLC is out. Zombie Island of Dr. Ned is an add-on pack for Borderlands with new enemy types, new missions, and new ... surprises. The Jakobs Corporation would like to invite you to experience the splendor of a corporate owned small town known as Jakobs Cove. Any rumors you may have heard about the "undead" walking our streets are completely preposterous and we officially deny them all. If those rumors turn out to be true simply purchase a firearm from the conveniently located Jakobs Brand Vending Machines and aim for the head. Also, would you mind saving our employees? (Non-union only please).

Faeus and I will both have this in the next day or so, if anyone cares to get this game and dlc to join us.
