Just had a thought. So far, all PS1 games you can download on PSN can also run on the PSP. If that's true... then would anyone be up for some portable FF7? I looked, and the article is tagged with "Sony PSP" as well. So that's just awesome. I'm totally getting this for my PSP if it comes state side.

Anyhoo, those lucky bastiches over in japanimation land are all enjoying full digital, working, non cat urine drenched copies of the beautiful, polygony, poorly translated, timeless-ish FF7.

A cursory glance at wikipedia suggests they are also enjoying what could easily be described as THE ENTIRE FREAKING PSONE LIBRARY.
Particularly Alundra, Brave Fencer Musashi, The Silver Case, The final words of Christ, and Mega Mans 10-23 :Screw Region 1 Edition.


On a less rant-y note I've played FF7 ad nauseum, but I'd be all up in FF8.

I wonder how they got around no L2 and R2 (or right analog stick in some cases) on the PSP for all those games. In the long run, I don't really care as long as it works. They managed Final Fantasy Tactics well enough. Anyway, really hoping this comes state side.

It's confirmed, Final Fantasy 7 will come to the State side PSN. I'll get to dust off my PSP finally.

It just went up on monday! I'd get it if it wasn't 10$ and if I didn't already have a working copy leveling out my desk.
I'm interested in seeing how it gets by the disc transition, though.
Hopefully they won't drag their feet getting FF8 up there.

I know right? $10 is WAY to much to ask. It's not like Amazon sells them for $180 a pop new ($50 used).
