The other day I was in the chat talking to Dray and the guys about Jerbils' thread about the lack of intrest for his game. And while the thread was somewhat conclusive, it didn't really have any closure towards having games looked at more closely.

So we tossed around ideas about how to get feedback to the creators. Maybe it was that starting threads or sending PM's was a little out of the way for everyone... or it just hasn't been done for whatever reason.

What we thought of may get people to leave game creators feedback while being relitively simple. The idea was to have the Game Vault updated a bit. A bit, as in, like Youtube. Each video has a place to quickly and easily leave a comment, rate the game, and such. This would be particularly easy for anyone to leave a small review of what they thought of the title.

But then again, just because it's there... it doesn't mean people will play the game. There seems to be a natural lack of intrest for playing games... only for making them... as the name of our site states. And while this may not get more people playing it, it may encourage those who did play to leave feedback.

A little side idea would be some from of tracking for commenting members. Maybe if there was something to gain by commenting on people's games that would be recognized throughout the forums... kind of like the reputation bar at the pav. I'm not sure if what I'm asking is even making much sense, but I wanted to at least get the idea out and see what you guys think.

Well, gaining points would make for an interesting incentive. But I'm not sure how well that would work, as some people can't really play RPGM games and would get left out of the pointing.

Besides, people do actually play these games. We just can't tell because our games don't have public counters on them, and most people don't feel like coming into the forums to find the proper place to leave comments. And on that, I'd have to wonder if leaving comments should be open for everyone or only available for registered users.

If we had a game vault mod to keep an eye on flagrant comments, that should be able to take care of it...

And as far as feeling left out... They'd better get a few copies of RM. Hell, XP you don't even need any of the makers.
